I love it! Then I wanted a couple more when I got home, so I ordered these, but they were terrible! Do preservatives exist? I wonder if the real rum can be used? Maybe they're not as fresh as they used to be? There was an off taste in my mouth after they were done. The ones sold in The Bahamas can't be the same as the ones we get here.
This is disgusting! The ones I had in the Caribbean were tasty I just returned from the Caribbean. There is no way that these can be originals or Our originals, which came from the Caribbean, tasted like chemicals and looked like they had been resealed by hand, they didn't come in the same plastic pouch as our current ones. The number of bites I could take per item was limited to 1. Purchase does not make sense.
The flavor of rum is not very strong at all. I like the way the meat is very moist. The flavor of rum is not very strong at all. Similarly, the chocolate one tastes very dark chocolate and rich, but there is little to no rum flavor to be found.
I'd highly recommend it, I just poured some of my rum over it and added some ice cream, it was If it were again, I would probably buy it but I probably would not buy the chocolate since it is just too rich and sweet despite my love for.
Two of my rum cakes arrived just now. They are both on their way out the door. This one screams out more and is fun to listen to. If the size is smaller than 32 oz, I will not buy it. I like this a lot. Tomorrow is my birthday so I'm excited about the rum cake.
