I'm in love with this cake! A super moist pound cake mix with a bit of citrus liqueur infused into it. When you couple that with a cup of Jacob's instant coffee (also available on Amazon), you have the perfect recipe for a fantastic The other cake flavors from Schluender are also delicious! The quality of each of them is so high that I cannot decide which I like best, which demonstrates how good they are. Here in Reno we used to buy them at our German Deli, but they closed down and I can't find them any more. I won't have to give up my favorite afternoon ingredient for Coffee and Cake anytime soon, thanks to Amazon. Schluender cakes are amazing! I can recommend them without a doubt! How thick the paper is depends on its thickness. It's quite rich, so we slice it quite thin. We get about 10 slices from a whole block. The food is really good!
A product with a shelf life of 3 months would be appropriate for this application.

It is a great cake taste. However, the vendor overcharged for the product. The cakes are sold in Germany for one dollar each, or you can buy them at Aldis for about four An envelope with bubble wrap contained a 17 dollars cake from the vendor. As you can see from the picture, it was in very poor condition. A part of the cake had been smashed.
The package was not properly packaged when it arrived. This cake was as hard as a rock and dry as a desert. What did you think of it? The smell has a hint of orange and is similar to cardboard. Make your own poundcake using a store-bought poundcake and Grand Marinier wine.
The cake is great, I just want to keep this short and sweet. I’m in love with this cake because it’s super moist and has tiny orange chunks The cake itself is fine, but I wouldn't give the cake as a gift because the box arrived crushed in one corner, but my husband and I aren't concerned since it won't affect the cake. Honestly, I do think the price is a bit high but it is meant to be a treat every now and then, so who cares, let's spend $16 and enjoy it.
I plan to purchase more in the future. It is a 100 percent satisfied customer for me.
This was a gift I gave to a dear friend of mine who is German. We had the chance to share a few with each other. Despite being up to the standards she had grown to expect from the company that made the cake, she said it was quite good.
A cappuccino cake infused with liqueur was a pleasure to eat. has a nice flavor, but if the flavor were a bit stronger, I would like it much more. My opinion is that there is also a little too much of it for the price. These would probably freeze well and then thaw quickly if unexpected guests showed up.

This was a gift I bought for my German Aunt. I now understand how hard it is for her to find homemade food at 88 years old, even though she is from Louisiana. It's been a pleasure for me to send her treats that remind her of when she was a kid.
