Five fake sleeves of Nespresso Ristretto pods were delivered to my house
3/5

It is your responsibility to verify whether the product you bought was counterfeit. I wanted to wait to write these reviews until I was completely certain, because I did not want to harm the reputation of any seller by posting something that was false or decrease the 100% satisfaction rating of this one. As I am aware, selling counterfeit items is illegal as well, and I would never accuse a seller of it unless I was absolutely certain that the items were indeed counterfeits. Although I am unsure if the seller knows or is unaware they are selling counterfeit books, it is a problem they need to deal with. My recent purchase of 5 sleeves of Nespresso Ristretto pods came from this seller on Amazon. I like Ristretto because it has a distinct flavor and it has been a favorite espresso for years. After I moved, I hadn't been drinking espresso or other caffeinated products for a few months, but was extremely tired from being in a new place. As a result of the cold weather, I was very much in the mood for my double espresso. There was something off about the taste of it -- If at all possible- Regardless, I finished it, hoping that perhaps my taste had evolved. After eating a second double espresso, I fell asleep after half an hour because I was feeling exhausted. My experience with four espressos was that they didn't wake me up, as well as tasted bad to me, so I went to check the pods, feeling something was off. My bad, I might have gotten decaf by accident (? I find this odd because every other Nespresso pod I've seen has both the name of the flavor and the Nespresso logo on It made more sense to order additional flavors, as well as more Ristretto, because I wanted to compare the product sent directly from Nespresso with the product I purchased from this seller side by side. The boxes looked similar, but had a different label/information on 3 sides. Obviously, the pods were different, which is why I took photos side by side of the two pods as well as the four sides and bottom (where the date information is printed) of a genuine Nespresso box and a box and pod that As soon as I reached out to Nespresso's customer service department, I explained to them that I ordered 5 sleeves of Ristretto from a reseller on Amazon, which In my complaint, I asked whether all Nespresso pods bear the name of the flavor as well as the logo of the company on the foil seal, or whether Nespresso ever produced a product with just the brand. In my call with the Nespresso representative, I discovered all of the espresso pods produced by Nespresso had their flavor name on the foil seal and their logo as well. Afterwards, I compared the boxes, which did not appear to be When I told her that this was counterfeit, she said it was a small matter- Nespresso is actually not the manufacturer of this product I explained that I had no idea what was in the counterfeit product, but I was deeply concerned since this is something I put into my body without knowing what is in there. I sent photos of the authentic Nespresso product and the counterfeit product I received from this seller if asked. Despite my concerns, the Nespresso representative assured me that this was the first time she had heard of this issue, so I was put on hold while she sought the advice of someone higher up *The Nespresso representative explained that she had not known, but that the company is aware that there are companies/ sellers replicating and trying to pass off and sell counterfeit items as genuine Nespresso products & accessories & This was being monitored. In any case, the Amazon representative I spoke with was shocked, and sure enough, I received a refund It was an absolute pleasure to work with her. In exchange for the photos, I offered to send them. It is a bit of a mystery to me, however, what measures Amazon will take to prevent the sale of counterfeit goods through their fulfillment centers. The problem is even more pressing when the counterfeit item is something you put into your body, believing it to be safe and trusting that it is exactly what you purchased, when you have no idea what harmful ingredients may be in the counterfeit product. Perhaps even ingredients that might be allergic to are concealed during manufacture. This is a serious problem -- This is an important issue. Many items such as vitamins, food, and all sorts of other things are available through Amazon, often through These results scare me and force me to rethink my quality control.

Capsules of Nespresso that have been dented
3/5

The sleeves of Nespresso Ristretto Original I ordered over the years have been repeated. My spouse's handling of the sleeves was not gentle enough, so I chalked it up to a minor shipping problem or mishandling on my part. A few capsules were crushed and dented and I attributed it to a minor shipping issue or mishandling. It was yesterday that I received my order of five In a corrugated box with 1x5 sleeve configuration, the sleeves were packed in 5 sleeves. It was enclosed in a larger box comprised of lightweight items and corrugated cardboard. I was very impressed with the packaging, which was in In any case, Each sleeve had 4 capsules that were damaged. Some of those that were dented or buckled were in the middle of the sleeves. Although I have LITTLE DOUBT that the reseller is buying Nespresso secondhand and reselling them on Amazon at a slight price discount, I am more inclined to believe they are buying secondhand. The majority of my Nespresso cups operate correctly in my machine despite having only 1-3 punctures in the dent because of the nature of the dent. It is advisable to include the same in the product description, as any other practice is unethical at best. BTW, another reviewer mentioned the same issue, so it is evident that this is a common problem.

It was incredibly unfortunate that two boxes (20 capsules) came completely smashed
3/5

A total of two boxes (20 capsules) showed up completely damaged and we couldn't use them. I guess we're out $35 on the website since returns are not allowed.

The capsules were damaged in 90% of the cases
3/5

This product is great, and I am a big fan of When it seems your order for capsules has been in a train wreck, and you have to discard 90 percent of the capsules, the problem arises.

I received some rejected materials that I could not use
3/5

I was sold cast-offs in poor condition by Quick Xpress. The other negative reviews can be found here. It is not uncommon to find dented and unusable coffee pods after someone is dissatisfied with the product. My experience was the same as yours. I was satisfied with the condition of the padded mailer. We had no issues with shipping, nor did we have problems with Boxes of coffee pods appeared to be in good condition. The expiration dates on the boxes were also valid. My surprise came when I opened the box and found the dented pods back in the box. It's fair to say There were some dented and damaged, but not all. Around 35% of those In those cases, the pods could not be used. The best I could do was try. It is a product that I would never buy In fairness, Quick Xpress should be honest about what it is selling, which is reused, rejected items Buying directly from Nespresso next time would give me the same price and I would receive fully-supported pods so I can continue to use it. The pods in your order are likely to be in much better shape than mine, so I wish you.

The quality is always high, the user interface is simple
5/5

I switched from coffee to espresso years ago (1990s or so) after discovering that coffee always left us jittery and wired. Espresso, without milk, flavors, sugar, etc. , made us more alert and was free from the jittery effects We have tried every kind of coffee we have ever come across, ground our own beans, and owned several brands of espresso machines over the years, including several pre-made machines The pod packaging of brands. Nespresso has consistently provided us with the best taste and for the best lack of jitters while still providing us with the boost we crave. The Nespresso is, of course, much faster and more convenient, so we use it for our quick after-lunch and evening espresso. We still purchase beans and grind them ourselves for our morning espresso, but the Nespresso is still the best choice for our morning espresso. After discovering that Nespresso pods can be recycled using their own process (the containers are made of aluminum), we now save them to be recycled. We recommend Ristretto because it has a rich, bold flavor and it is a good, strong espresso.

A push out of shape prevents the tops from being inserted properly
3/5

Since December, I have been ordering the ristoretto capsules every month. There were a significant number of dented and non-useable capsules in the batch for May. But I was able to get the aluminum back into shape once I figured out how to press it again. An identical issue was found in the batch from July. Perhaps the damaged boxes in the warehouses went unnoticed until they were opened, followed by not having any visible damage upon opening. If you want high quality coffee, this is not an affordable way to do so. There's a need to check the warehouse, so I think someone should do it.
