Questions & Answers

What does it have in common with Twinings?

It's a step up from Twinings, in my opinion. The Earl Grey from Harney and Sons has a pleasant flavor that is neither too strong nor too weak. I believe it is a high-quality tea.

I'm curious as to how much caffeine this decaf tea contains. Thanks! ?

I drink this decaf tea on a regular basis and have never experienced any negative side effects, so I'd say it contains little to no caffeine. Harney is a phone number you can call. 1-year-old sons 800- TEA- TIME or send an e-mail to www.time.com. harney. com

For a standard 12-ounce coffee cup, how many grams of this leaf are required?

This tea has a nice taste to it. 4 to 4 1/2 grams of tea (or 1 to 1 1/2 heaping tablespoons) per 12 ounces of liquid should yield a good brew. It depends on whether you prefer strong or weak tea, as well as the tea's flavor. br>br>How you brew our tea leaves also makes a difference. A Bosch teamaker is what I use. Earl Grey tea is excellent (and decaf is a plus!)
5/5

Earl Grey tea is one of my favorites, but I have a caffeine sensitivity that necessitates decaf consumption of *everything*. The problem is that good Earl Grey in decaf form is hard to come by. Thankfully, Amazon came to my rescue and delivered a mountain of tea to my doorstep. It's not the flimsy nonsense sold in the supermarket as a pittance thrown at the feet of the poor souls who can't drink enough caffeine. This tea has a wonderful flavor, and the bergamot is delightful to smell and drink. This is the third time I've ordered this tea, and each time it arrives perfectly fresh. This is a great way to enjoy Earl Grey without sacrificing flavor or quality for those like me who's bodies fight caffeine.

I tried this after the price of my usual Earl Grey brand (Taylors of Harrogate) doubled
3/5

Sons appears to be rather bland, with little bergamot scent or flavor. Furthermore, it contains significantly more broken leaves and dust than the other Harney variety. I've enjoyed all of the Sons I've tried, so I believe the flavor is unique to their Earl Grey blend. And their tins are far superior to Taylors' tins in terms of quality. br>br>Fortunately, the Taylors of Harrogate have reduced their prices again, so I'll be returning to them. Harney may appeal to you if you prefer a very mild bergamot oil flavor. Earl Grey of the Sons But I prefer my Earl Grey with a little more kick.

Earl Grey with a Smooth Taste: With Bergamot, it's not too intense, and the bags are sealed in foil to keep them fresh
5/5

Earl Grey decaf from Harney and Sons is one of my favorites. It's not as potent as the Stash brand version I drank. This Earl Grey has a milder scent and flavor than Stash, which isn't to say it's weak, but it's less aromatic and sharp tasting. AND, unlike Stash, when I drink a mug of Harney, I don't get heartburn. Sons, as I did with Stash on occasion. br>br>If you want a strongly aromatic Earl Grey that is heavy on the Bergamot like Stash, this is a good choice; if you want intensity, Stash or another brand might be a better choice. br>br>What I like:br> Smooth taste that isn't too heavy on Bergamotbr> Makes a good cup in my (am I a philistine?) microwavebr> Does not give me occasional heartburnbr )br> The bags have a long enough string to loop around the handle of my mug (keeping the tab out of the water)br>br>There are no real drawbacks to these tea bags, but if you want *intense* Bergamot, this isn't the tea for you. In this case, Stash might be a better option. br>br>Because I enjoy Harney & Sons' decaf Earl Grey tea bags. I give them 5 stars because they are sons and have no flaws.

Tea is fantastic! I enjoy hot tea as a morning pick-me-up, and nothing beats sitting at my desk with a freshly brewed pot of tea, heavy cream, and sugar
4/5

This one appealed to me because I've been a fan of Earl Grey since I first saw Picard order his "Tea, Earl Grey Hot" on Star Trek: Voyager. TNG. Before this, I hadn't been able to find an Earl Grey that I truly enjoyed; bagged versions available in the United States simply weren't up to the task. However, this tea is far superior to the ones I've purchased from the supermarket. The fact that it's loose leaf (my preferred type) is just icing on the cake. It takes a long time to brew, but it's worth it. Every morning, I've had to share my pot with my son, and I've grown to despise it. That's a cup of tea I'm drinking! =)br>br>I highly recommend Harney and Sons teas; I have the English Breakfast Tea and plan to try the "Tower of London" tea at some point in the future. =) The containers are fantastic as well; once they're empty, I can think of a million things to do with them.

The aroma is wonderful, but the tea is a bit weak for milk tea
5/5

Because I'm pregnant, I've been trying to limit my caffeine consumption. I used to be a big coffee drinker, but after reading some recent NIH studies on neonatal defects even with moderate caffeine consumption, I decided to switch to decaf tea. I could smell the fragrant bergamot oil wafting from this tea as soon as I opened the box. I've only had it for about a week and a half, but I've already gone through half of the box. It's a lovely tea on its own. I usually drink my Earl Grey with a splash of milk, but this tea is too weak for milk tea. I even attempted to make royal milk tea with four tea bags, but all I got was milk with a hint of black tea and bergamot. But because I like that it's decaf and still smells like bergamot, I'll keep drinking and buying it.

Discouraged: An Earl Grey That Isn't Like Any Other What a waste of time
3/5

Instead of deep, thick citrus flavors, this tea has strange, straw or hay flavor overtones that are unlike any Earl Grey I've ever had. Despite the fact that a number of reviews in print and online praised Harley, I'm afraid I don't see anything promising, sons. A peculiar taste. (It's past the expiration date. ) For four minutes, I steeped my tea. )br>br>While the tin is attractive, I was disappointed that the loose tea was not shipped in an airtight plastic or Mylar bag, exposing it to the elements. To me, that appears to be a foolish shortcut. br>br>Normally, in the winter, I switch from espresso to Earl Grey for my morning wake-up cup, but I'm not going to drink this tea. When the weather warms up, I might save it to use in iced tea. br>br>I'm reverting to a tried and true method.

The aroma of bergamot is barely discernible in this tea
3/5

Based on the positive feedback, I decided to try this highly rated tea. What a colossal financial blunder! br>While bergamot is barely detectable in brewed tea, it is more noticeable in the package. The tea itself is unremarkable when it comes to aroma.

Tea that is more than a decade old coming back Tea box that has been bartered, dented, worn, and distressed
3/5

In terms of freshness, there is a lack of trust. In 2 months, this offer will expire! Tea, after all, should last a long time. It's as if this was discovered years later in a corner of the supply room floor, having been kicked off the shelf.
