I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys reading this Mama Ramotswe enjoyed drinking this tea and enjoyed drinking a lot of it, so I ordered some to see what it is like. I am extremely pleased to say that it is even better than I expected. a light, earthy flavor that has a hint of sweetness, it welcomes me to the three I can enjoy my tea without losing sleep the next night, with no caffeine. Rooibos tea takes my mind off my daily duties as I look forward to it It is good and I will stick with it as it is so good I have not tried any other brand.
Unlike most children her age, Schuyler, my 5 year old granddaughter, is very picky when it comes to bedtime snacks. Laager is her favorite brand, so she doesn't drink anything else. She will know the difference if you give her a FreshPak. Compared to Laager, she says that Laager is more delicate and fresh. It seems that she and I are in agreement. There is a lot of respect for tea in South Africa. Black tea is not the only type available. Rooibos is also available. Tea is more like a cup of coffee, whereas Rooibos is more like a herbal tea. Therefore, the longer you brew, the deeper the color is and the more flavorful the tea is. The antioxidants in this beverage make it a healthy choice.
A friend of mine from South Africa gave me a box of these cookies from this brand. My initial thought was that I would not find it in the US once it was gone. It was on Amazon that I discovered it after trying eight other brands I'm so happy! Since I was converted to Rooibos after tasting this (most of which are too weak for this coffee drinker), I intend to keep it on top of my shopping list until I find one I enjoy more.
Having grown up drinking this brand of rooibos, and drinking it with my grandma any time we visited South Africa as kids, I was disappointed. I normally don't need to add much sugar to this tea due to its naturally sweet taste however, when it came with a stale almost bitter flavor, I had to add a little extra. Similarly, the steeping time was longer, I had to actually put a saucer over the cup while it steeped and I had to walk away during the steeping process, and even then it still wasn't as strong as I had hoped. Perhaps I got a bad box, but it would be wasteful to waste our time and money on bad batches when we pay so much more for tea in America than it would.
I liked one of them, but it cost twice what Laager does. Due to its relatively low price, I was hesitant to order Laager, but now I am glad I did. Aromatically, it is similar to Rooibos tea and it is naturally sweet, with no bitterness to be found.
I would return if I could. I knew the taste from before, but this wasn't it. As far as I can tell, the batch I received is free of taste or odor. There is no point in using multiple sachets to make such a weak tea. It was a friend who introduced me to Rooibos tea from South Africa in the 80s. Southern California is a hot climate, and I find this tea to be refreshing and thirst-quenching. My supermarket brands don't taste the same to me this brand tastes like mellow black tea, but without caffeine. I learned to like this brand and don't like those in the.
It is always good to have a cup of this tea in the evening when you want to avoid caffeine. It has a wonderful aroma and is soothing and pleasant.
