It had the labeling and packaging of a counterfeit product. Each ingredient has its own unique characteristics. gold canister with writing in gold as shown in the picture was beautiful. I taste sugar and a bad fake powdered coffee creamer when I eat this dark brown canister with dark brown writing that reads Sweet Ground Powder. I was totally taken aback by the taste. It has been a pleasure buying this! The first time the "Sweet Ground Powder" showed up, Amazon replaced it with the correct one right away, it was awesome! Second time, the different type found its way onto the screen, only to be replaced with the same. My only concern is whether or not it is counterfeit, or whether Ghirardelli has changed their manufacturing process. Here are some photos I attached. In this label, 5 out of 5 stars is all you need, but the sweet ground powder gets a single star. Is there a way to find out the answer? I am editing this to make it more readable for anyone who might happen to read it. If this isn't counterfeit, please change back to the old recipe. The idea came to me thinking I could create the white hot chocolate drink Dunkin Donuts had a few years ago. I figured Ghiradelli must be good, so I ordered it. Those who have already reviewed it are right when they say it tastes artificial and chemical-like. It is utterly unacceptable and The problem persists even after I tried a few different ways to use it. As well as being disgusting, it leaves a nasty aftertaste. Using $20 on such a useless item is a waste. In addition to showing dents, the plastic rubber lid was off, but the can was still sealed so I wasn't put off.
I love this because it is grainy, like granulate sugar, and if there is any white chocolate taste at all it is really subtle. This is true highway robbery for the amount of money involved. It is not worth your money to waste it on something so insignificant, or at least spend it on a much smaller and less costly amount just to try it.

The sweetness is intense, but the creaminess is not as rich as it might appear. far, I have only made the hot white chocolate, and according to the directions, there should be vanilla bean added to it. I do not have any vanilla bean, though, so I am not sure whether adding vanilla bean would enhance it. My daily fix of vanilla milk had to be found somewhere else since Nestle has stopped making Vanilla Nesquik. Compared to the original, this is about as close as it gets. My milk has to be a decent amount of it in order to taste the flavor, but I believe it may be too sweet. My impression is that it tastes more like a berry flavor than a chocolate flavor. Possibly it is just my tastebuds that are off as well. My personal taste is not in line with this item, so I will not be purchasing it.
