This company is owned by Lindt, which has its cocoa grown in West Africa, in Ghana in particular. one of the areas of concern for issues related to slave labor and child labor in cocoa production (child labor, slavery, etc. ), but not all cocoa produced in Africa is produced this way. The Ghiradelli Sustainability website does not mention the issue directly, nor does the company advertise their free trade or fair trade policy. One can only assume that such labor is used on at least some of their farms if one bothers to do some digging. You can be certain that the chocolate you are buying comes from South American cocoa beans or is fair trade certified.

This will make your morning coffee your best friend if you put one heaping spoon of it in it. Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering with the flavor of dark chocolate. You deserve to try this, so do yourself a favor and give yourself a treat. There is no doubt in your mind.
I use just one scoop of powder instead of three, which is the recommended serving size. I love the richness of this picture! The cocoa powder is decent in terms of taste, it's somewhat bitter because I put it on top of a high percentage of cocoa to sugar.
