I have a lot to say about this product, but I'll try to keep my review as short as possible (HA!). ) based on the aspects of Kombucha that are most important to me. br>The following are the things I look for the most: SUGAR CONTENT: SUGAR CONTENT: SUGAR CONTENT: SUGAR CONTENT: This Kombucha is, without a doubt, the best in this category - As a result, three stars have been awarded. Artificial sugars don't agree with me because they irritate my stomach. It's better if it's natural sugar, but I prefer around 8 grams of sugar because I drink them first thing in the morning to replace yogurt because dairy causes sinus problems for me. I'm not a fan of too much sugar in the morning. If it's more than 8g, I save half for the next day's drink. This is a problem because if the fermentation isn't good, the great 'bubble' Kombucha has won't last long. This Kombucha looked great, and I was willing to pay a little more because the sugar content was 0g. VITAMINS ADDED: br> B12 is added to this Kombucha. Another reason for the three-star rating for this Kombucha. Because my body has a hard time absorbing B12, I try to find as many ways as I can to include it in my diet. calorie intake: calorie intake: calorie intake: calories intake: calories intake: calories intake: calories intake: calories This isn't high on my priority list, but it's something I'm aware of: most grocery store Kombucha is between 110 and 150 calories per serving. This Kombucha contains only about 10 calories, depending on the brand. br>CARBONATION/Fermented Fizz Factor (for lack of a better term): This Kombucha fails miserably in this category, which is why it was docked a star. The pleasant fizz of store-bought Kombucha is conspicuously absent here. It's almost as if you left the can open in the fridge for a day before deciding to drink it the next day. It only has a bland flavor. br>TASTE: TASTE: TASTE: TASTE: TASTE: This is where I think this Kombucha falls short for me, and it's why it got a one-star rating. It doesn't have the same vinegary sweetness that makes Kombucha so delicious at times. In this variety pack, there was only one clear winner, and that was the peach tea for me. Out of the four, it has the best taste. Now, everyone's palate is different. I get it. Blood Orange and Ginger Lemonade, on the other hand, would have been far better if they hadn't tasted so flat. The Peach Tea flavor was so strong that it overpowered the awful flatness that pervaded all of the flavors. I used to think I didn't like Blood Oranges, but then I tried the absolute worst of them all: Raspberry Lemonade is a refreshing drink made with raspberries and lemon. There is no raspberry flavor and no lemonade flavor. It tastes almost rotten, and I get the impression that I licked a bunch of antibiotics for fun. Because the B12 vitamin can have a strong taste, I'm guessing whatever flavor they used was overpowered by the B12. I'm having trouble swallowing this stuff. I have to drink a lot of water after quickly chugging it back. I'm not going to flush it down the toilet because it's far too much money to throw away. I'd give it away, but I'm afraid that if it tastes that bad, someone else will just throw it away. If you're undecided about buying this and don't care about the flavor, 100% I recommend it because it is much healthier than normal Kombucha. DO NOT purchase this Kombucha variety pack if TASTE is important to you and you believe LIFE is TOO SHORT to drink bad stuff. Buy the Peach Tea separately if possible. It's a delectable meal. I hope this information is useful to someone else in making a decision:.
My wife and I are big fans of kombucha, especially Humm's, which contains a lot of probiotics and Vitamin B12. We also live in Bend, where Humm is from, and we like to support local businesses, especially those that have a great product. br>br>The only drawback has been sugar, which we try to avoid in our daily diets. So we were ecstatic to get our hands on the variety pack and try all of the sugar-free options. Flavors are provided for free. Here's how we feel about each flavor: br>br> br>Peach Tea is a refreshing beverage made from peaches. This is our favorite because it tastes just like fresh, ripe peaches. It's not overly sweet, but it has a lot of flavor that lingers in your mouth. This is something I can see myself drinking a lot of in the future. br>Ginger Lemonade is a refreshing drink made with ginger and lemon juice. This was the runner-up by a hair. The ginger and lemon are in perfect harmony. Fresh, not spicy with ginger. It's invigorating. Also makes a fantastic mule drink when mixed with whiskey and lime. I could see it going well with a variety of other drinks. Yum. br>Blood Orange Raspberry Lemonade - These two are also fantastic and can be consumed on a regular basis. The Blood Orange was my wife's favorite, while the Raspberry Lemonade was my favorite. Both had a lot of flavor, a mellow aftertaste, and a flavor that was similar to their names. A big Yum! goes out to them as well. br>br>We're excited to try more of these flavors and to bring them along with us on hikes, trail work days, and bike rides. I'm a big fan of the cans.
The first sip is delicious. However, there is an aftertaste that reminds me of the aftertaste I get from artificial sweeteners like saccharin. It doesn't have any artificial sweeteners in it, and after looking into the ingredients, I believe the monk syrup is to blame. It's not particularly potent, but it lingers on the back of my tongue. I've tried three of the four flavors so far, and the ginger lemonade leaves me with the least lingering aftertaste. Or perhaps I'm simply growing accustomed to it. I was considering returning the product, but the fact that it contains no calories appeals to me greatly. I've decided to keep the product and see if I can get over my dislike of the aftertaste; if I do, I'll revise my review and give it a higher rating.
We ordered 16 cans and were astounded at how quickly they arrived, 12 days ahead of schedule! br>We had a taste of each of the four flavors. Ginger lemonade, peach tea, blood orange, and raspberry lemonade are some of the flavors available. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite because they're all so delicious and sugar-free. br>I will definitely be a return customer. br>Thank you, Humm, for providing such a high-quality product and outstanding service!.
I've been drinking kombucha for two years, including some that I made myself, and I've never had one taste as bad as this; the peach was ok, not great, but ok; the blood orange I had to discard. If and when I try the other two, I'll post an update.
I was expecting a lot. Sugar- Kombucha that doesn't have to be refrigerated is available for free. It was exactly what I had hoped and expected. These portions are 11 ounces in size. To give you a sense of scale, 12 oz. Humm Kombucha cans require refrigeration. While the bottled product comes in a 14 oz size, bottles and cans are roughly the same price, averaging $3 per, whether refrigerated or not. Regrettably, I'm not a fan of sugar-free diets. The free version appears to be less appealing. Flavors appear to have faded and aren't as strong as they are in bottles or cans. I have a Humm Kombucha habit that I intend to maintain in order to avoid wasting sugar. The fee version has already been bought.
Although I enjoy Kombucha, some of my favorites contain up to 16 grams of sugar per bottle. I was excited to learn about Hummmm's zero-sugar version because their coconut lime is one of my favorites. These were delivered three days ahead of schedule and are all delicious. It has an excellent flavor and is very refreshing.
