I haven't had a Hickory Farms summer sausage in years, but I recall it being the most delicious sausage I'd ever had, and one of the best meat products I'd ever had. Getting one of their long sausages and savoring the flavor for a month or so of snacks used to be a holiday treat. So when I saw it was available on Amazon, I was excited to get my hands on it once more. However, I was dismayed by how bland it has become, no better than the cheap summer sausages available at any supermarket. There also appears to be significantly more fatty filling than I recall. I'm even wondering if it's a fake because it didn't come straight from HF and is so bland, even after warming it up a little. As companies compete for market share, many products degrade in quality, and Hickory Farms appears to be one of them. Save your money and buy what's available locally; Hickory Farms is no longer a high-quality product you can count on.

This product contains 99% grease and 1% beef in it. I thought I was purchasing a Hickory Farms Beef Stick, which I had previously purchased and enjoyed, but this product was inedible, and I discarded it. It is not a good investment. Hickory Farms has increased the price while lowering the quality dramatically.

I make my own chicken/turkey/beef breakfast sausage, but the turkey pepperoni and other ingredients aren't the best, so I decided to give this a shot, and it's delicious. I forgot to measure it before cutting it up, but it's probably about a foot long and 2 inches in diameter. I pre- All of it was cut up and frozen/vacuum sealed. If I keep it away from my husband (hah hah), it should last me a long time. I'll order it again without a doubt.

My husband and I both enjoy the flavor, and it is truly delectable. Although it is more expensive than other summer sausages, we believe it is well worth the money. Purchase this item with confidence, knowing that it will be of high quality and will make an excellent gift. However, I must warn you that it is highly addictive, and you will regret not purchasing more! br>Here are two ideas: br>When ordering, keep in mind that I am endorsing "BEEF" Sausages! I prefer the taste of beef, and I ordered the regular flavor, but it was too fattening. Second, I prefer purchasing the option of three individual smaller size packages because the party size is too large to open in one sitting for one person, and the three keep the food fresh and sealed until you have another craving for one person. Enjoy!.
