It appears that there is some sediment still in the bottles (FNSKU = Seller) that we currently hold, batch #349, but it's not excessive. There is a lot of clear bitterness in the bitters. A little sediment is normal in the filtration process since not everything is caught. I'm not sure from whom you bought the product, but if you bought from us, opened it, and the flavor is off, we would be happy to replace it or refund you. It's the lavender bitters that I have. There is no mention of vegan or gluten-free on the package. Alcohol, distilled water, organic lavender, organic herbs, and spices all make up the formula. Usually, gluten-free alcohol is made with corn, but I guess it depends on the type of corn a plant uses to make it.

A great lime is lime. It is a good idea to consume oranges and black lemons in moderation. My main desire with bitters is to accentuate the flavor of plain seltzer water. I am actually a very light drinker. So far, I have tried about 10 varieties/brands of bitters before this one, and the one that stands out to me is Angostura bitters with lime (not to mention the bitters with orange). I think the great thing about this brand is that the main flavor really comes through, which is not the case with other bitters. Other bitters, like grenadine, also taste strongly of the spices, herbs, and other flavors that go into making them. Seltzer does not mix well with that, which can sometimes be advantageous in mixed drinks. The background notes on Scrapppy's can be heard in the background, but they are barely audible. The bitterness in the grapefruit cocktail is beyond compare. That actually makes it taste more like grapefruit than any other grapefruit water you've ever tasted. The flavor is so clean and fresh. The warning is that there is a danger. If you consume grapefruit seltzer after having it, you cannot drink canned grapefruit seltzer.
