Mcbazel Brook Wingman SD Converter for Xbox 360/Xbox One/Xbox Elite 1&2/PS3/PS4/Switch Pro Controller to Sega Dreamcast & Saturn Console

With this, I had a specific application in mind. I didn't want console-specific wheels because racing wheels are large and bulky, as well as very expensive. I wanted to be able to get two generic wheels and use them with both the Saturn and the Dreamcast, so I bought a "Subsonic Racing Wheel Universal" (cheap off craigslist) that supports PC, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. I verified that it worked in my PC and checked the button/wheel mapping, which revealed that the wheel was controlled by the left analog stick (left/right), and the pedals were mapped to LT. RT. I then attempted to use my Saturn with the wheel connected to a Brook Wingman SD. (I did have to plug in an Xbox One controller to get the wheel into a specific system mode. ) ) I loaded up the Daytona Championship Circuit and promptly lost, but the controller performed admirably! The wheel worked correctly and was in analog mode, the pedals were mapped correctly, and the paddles on the wheel for shifting gears were also mapped correctly for shifting gears, which was better than expected. I'm not sure if the same mapping will work for all games, but I was pleased to find that everything worked as expected on the Saturn. br>br>I'll let you know if it works with Dreamcast or not, but I'm confident it will. br>br>UPDATE: I updated the firmware, and using a racing wheel with Dreamcast is also possible. The only drawback is that the Dreamcast has fewer buttons, so the mapping isn't as accurate. Wingman, on the other hand, allows you to remap on the fly, so I was able to get it to work as I desired. This is a fantastic product, and Brook is my go-to guy for this type of thing. It's also worth noting that their retro fight stick board is fantastic.

I purchased this based on Gunnerman's recommendation, and it's actually quite good. It was confusing to set it up because it isn't just plug and play. You don't need to plug in the m30 because you've set it to switch mode. Instead, press and hold the brook adapter's button until it blinks rapidly, then switch on the m30 in switch mode, then press and hold the m30's sync button until it turns off and on. When the p1 light turns on, it's time to set it up.

This thing is incredibly responsive; my only complaint is that the analog stick isn't as responsive as it could be. For example, in NiGHTS, where you must make subtle charges in flight, a PS4 controller will send you all over the place. I feel as if I'm on a rink. br>br>Having said that, it's surprising how much better a PS4 controller is than the old Saturn pad in terms of buttons. PS4 is - way- They are more responsive on screen, reacting faster and allowing you to hit them in quick succession. My Saturn controller, on the other hand, is most likely 25 years old.

I've wanted to use a six-button layout style on Dreamcast for a long time, and I heard it worked with the M30. I can confirm that this does indeed sync with the 8Bitdo M30 bluetooth. To connect to the wingman, you must first put the controller into switch mode and then press the sync button. It's that easy.

This adapter is fantastic; combine it with an Xbox One controller and you've got yourself a wireless Dreamcast controller. There is no discernible lag, and everything works as it should. This book comes highly recommended.

I have about seven fight sticks, all with different setups ranging from 360 to brook's custom pcb. And I can tell you that this unit is the best thing that has ever come out for the Sega Dreamcast; it also has a 200-block memory bank, which is a nice feature to have if you don't have a vmu. If you want to save money, build a second stick just for that console. Then go ahead and get it; you will not be disappointed.

Excellent device for using modern controllers on retro consoles (Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - Saturn - (From Dreamcast. ) It's great because it has almost no input lag and can store data on a DC memory card.
