Wii Console with Mario Kart Wii Bundle - Black

WARNING: SPIRAL DINOSAUR is a seller to avoid! Disappointed to the point of frustration. I even ordered a slightly more expensive one in the hopes of receiving one in good condition. It isn't even functional. I don't think I need to go into detail about how frustrating it is to set everything up only to have the CD drive reject the disk. Amazon should be aware of any defective items it sells.

The unit I received had everything except the original box and appeared to be brand new. The sticky pads that hold the sensor bar's backing were also untouched and ready to use. The instruction manual was still sealed in its box. The Wii is a fun casual and retro gaming platform. Even if you aren't new to the Wii, there are a few things you should think about. br>*All Wii channels have been retired, and you will no longer be able to connect your games to online content. If this is important to you, the Wii U is the better option. br>*This is the only Wi-Fi access point in the area. The internet browser and Wii automatic updates are the only Wi-Fi connections that have not been disabled. All streaming and game downloads are disabled, as are Wii Fit communities and Mii contests. br>*The majority of games do not require internet to function, so if all you want to do is play games, the original Wii will suffice. br>*While Nintendo is no longer producing new Wii games, Amazon has a plethora of NIB, Used, and Restored titles. You should check to see if the games you want are playable or available for the Wii. Finally, games come in US and World versions; this one only works with US versions and hasn't been able to read world versions, so keep that in mind.

The Wii console, cords, steering wheel, and Wiimote were all in excellent condition (no scratches, buffs, or other flaws). br>The package and cords had a strong cigarette smoke odor. In some of the crevices of the cords and the fan exhaust window, there was also a strange red dirt. Most disappointingly, the Wii remote was not a Wiiplus remote as advertised, and there was no nunchuck included. br>3 stars for the Wii's working condition, but one star off for the smell and dirt, and another off for the missing/misrepresented items.
Edit: The Mario Kart game can technically be played with or without the steering wheel, which is why the rating is so high.

I believe I overpaid for this, but I am pleased with it nonetheless. It performs as expected, includes all of the parts I require, and most importantly, it is clean! It's obvious that someone spent time cleaning it up. The ties on all of the cables were extremely tight and difficult to cut, but other than that, I was pleased with my purchase.

The black Wii console I received is in excellent condition and very clean. The front of the Wii remote with motion plus has a few light scratches, but it's not a big deal. The Wii wheel that came with it was white rather than black as shown in the pictures, but that was no big deal. The nunchuck and sensor, as well as the rest of the bundle, work perfectly. I did not use the included composite cables because I purchased an HDMI adapter and HDMI cable separately, and you will need to do the same if you have a newer smart TV. My purchase was a great success!.

The Wii may not have the same graphics quality as the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, but it has a place in any gamer's collection. I was perplexed as to why I hadn't received one sooner. I was looking for a model like this (RVL-XXXXXXXXXXXXX Backwards compatibility with GameCube games (number 001). The RVL-RVL-RVL-RVL-RVL-RVL- R 101, RVL- 201) aren't compatible with the Nintendo GameCube. Additionally, some older Wii games that require GameCube controllers will not work. More information is available on Nintendo's website. br>br>The seller who sold me this unit had Mario Kart, Wii Sports, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Zelda Skyward Sword, all of which I have enjoyed so far. I'm still undecided about which games I'd like to purchase next. As the next generation of consoles is released, I'm sure there will be discounts on them. Virtual Console games pique my interest as well. br>br>The controls are unfamiliar to me, and it will take some time to get used to them. The controllers' motion adds a new level of gameplay to the game. Wii sports can get your blood pumping like nothing else. The Wii's internal memory is small, which is my only complaint. Without looking at the specifications, I can't say for sure how big it is because the Wii's software measures memory in Blocks. If your Wii has a lot of apps, there won't be much room for downloaded games or game saves. You'll need an SD card, which are surprisingly inexpensive these days. If you're using a Wii Menu that's older than version 4, you'll need to update it. Only SD cards with a capacity of 2 GB are supported if the value is zero. With 4. SDHCs up to 32 GB are supported on versions 0 and higher, but most people don't even fill up their 8 or 16 GB cards, according to what I've seen on the forums. There's a chance you'll be able to save some cash. I currently have a 2 GB hard drive dedicated to game saves.

Although I understand that this was a refurbished item, it did not last long. When the grandchildren came to stay the night, I estimated that the console was used about 4 or 5 times a month for 3 to 4 hours at a time. Adults were also in charge of the games and console. With moderate use, the console only lasts about 6 months.
