Yes, the purple button on the left has three presets that you can switch between, or you can use the bottom. The console turns off when it is clicked in the middle position.

Is it able to play SNES/NES games in full screen or in a windowed mode?

You have a choice; there is a switch on the back that allows you to select 16:9 or 16:10. 9 or 4: A switch to change from PAL to NTSC can also be found on the unit's base.

Is the SNES controller compatible with NES games?

No, the NES and SNES controllers each have their own port. Both aftermarket and OEM controllers are compatible. My original NES and SNES controllers are in use.

What is the length of the control cables?

approximately ten feet Regrettably, the controllers themselves aren't particularly long-lasting.

(Update) This is ideal for casual hardcore
5/5

Update after two months: br>It's still working perfectly. The controllers are still in good working order and have a pleasant feel to them. I still adore this system; I have yet to come across a game that doesn't work with it. However, I discovered some issues, primarily with the NES color palette, and I'll admit that some games do appear to be ugly (though not all of them?). With SNES games, however, this isn't the case. br>br>However, I still stand by my 5-star rating because I've spent over 200 hours playing games like Final Fantasy 6 and Secret of Mana on it. It's also super simple to bring to a friend's house, which I've done several times. But, after spending so much time with these old games, I'll admit that I'm starting to wish for an analogue system. I have no regrets about this purchase; it was a great way to reintroduce myself to these old games, and I don't feel obligated to spend the $200 on the analogue because this one works so well. Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>O br>br>As a result, I like to think of myself as a "casual hardcore" retro gamer. I like to play the games I own. br>br> I've wanted to get back into NES and SNES games since 1997, but I haven't owned a Nintendo or Super Nintendo since then. When I first saw this system, there were no reviews or even YouTube videos available, and I had no idea what to expect. But, because I own the Hyperkin MegaRetroN, I took a risk that I wouldn't normally take. br>br>I bought the Retron 2 with no games for either system, and after ordering the Hyperkin, I went to my local retro store and bought 15 games in total, as well as a SNES multicart and some reproduction games from ebay. br>I've been playing these games for about a week. So, how's it going?br>br> The game cartidges pull out easily in both slots, so there's no death grip like on the MegaretroN, which is good because SNES games typically require an eject button. br>br>Both controllers work well with long cords, and I often forget they aren't original controllers. Though I would eventually recommend an 8bitdo and a Bluetooth receiver, these controllers are excellent until then and will not irritate Player 2 if you do get an 8bitdo. In terms of input lag, what are your options? I've played Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, and Mike Tyson Punch Out, and I've never felt like I was losing because of delayed button presses (although you can blame lag if you want: P) If your TV has a "game mode," as mine does, I recommend turning it on. br>br>The sound and video are where the critics rail against this system. Hyperkin systems have a little more color saturation than other systems, which some people may dislike, but I personally prefer the richer color. The 4: 3/16: The 9 switch is a good option, and the game looks great on a 720p HDTV. br>br>With the exception of the coins in Super Mario Brothers on the NES (which sound like. I couldn't tell you which sounds or music are different or the same on the hyperkin; sorry, but it's been too long since I played these games. Overall, they sound good, and after playing Super Mario All Star on the Super Nintendo, I can confidently state that the SNES sound and music are spot on. br>br>To hear the difference in sound and see the difference in color saturation, I would recommend Madlittlepixel YouTube review. br>br>However, with these "minor issues" that the retron 2 has, and the fact that the hyperkin 2 is two systems for $70, it's important to keep in mind. The analog FPGA system costs $200 per system, whereas the digital FPGA system costs $35 per system. However, you get a lot for your $70! If you're a true purist, you're probably already using an RGB or Analogue mod. br>br>However, if you're like me and have an old box of games in the attic, or simply want to casually collect games and don't want to spend a lot of money on a system that's simple to set up, sounds and looks good on a HDTV, and transports you back to 1994? Then this system will not let you down. br>br>Strongly suggested. br>br>.

Batteries are not included in the package
3/5

I was under the impression that this product came with all of the parts and cables needed to operate the system when I ordered it. After discovering that there was no cable provided to power the device, I read the fine print: "Comes with a 6-foot extension cord. " A micro USB charging cable and an AC adapter are included in the package. If you don't have an AC adapter, we strongly advise you to use a USB wall AC adapter with a minimum output of 5V 1A. Overall, the pictures for this product are misleading, and I'll need to order an AC adapter in order to use it. br>1. Rather than HDMI, you should use video. An HDMI port can be seen in the photo, and I was even given an HDMI cable. There isn't an HDMI port where I can plug in the cable they gave me.
1. There was a USB adapter that plugged into the wall, but no USB to AC wire.

The best HD Combo System for the NES and SNES
5/5

You can trust this 5-star rating because I am extremely picky. I've tried a few clone NES/SNES models and this one is currently the best. I'd been waiting for Hyperkin to release the NES/SNES combo HD system for a long time, and one of the most important features for me is compatibility with Castlevania 3, one of my favorite games. With the exception of the audio, which has been slightly altered, this is compatible with Castlevania 3, but this is a minor flaw. The majority of clone systems are incompatible and won't even play. So far, every NES/SNES game I've played on my HD TV with this system has looked and sounded fantastic. I also like how Hyperkin modeled the console after a true classic SNES console. br>br>One of the most common complaints about Hyperkin systems is how tight the pin connectors are. This is correct; however, if you know what you're doing, it's not a big deal. The connectors are frequently broken by people. This can be easily avoided by gently inserting the game cartridges and gently removing them by pulling one side up first and then slowly lifting the rest out on a slight angle. br>br>Thank you, Hyperkin, for releasing the combo system at long last. I'm a huge fan of the original NES and SNES, and this modern HD clone is perfect for me.

It was delivered in the wrong color
4/5

I ordered the gray color, but it arrived in black and purple. But it's not a big deal; it's not the end of the world. I'd return it just to get the color I wanted, but I don't want to have to wait another week for it to arrive. The NES Game compartment is a little loose. Snapping the NES games into place in the NES Game slot is a bit of a challenge. When I try to insert a game, I'm afraid I'll break the plastic body. I take great care when I'm doing it. The games sometimes take a long time to load and I have to reload them. Just to get the game to start up properly, you must first put it in. But I'll be content if this lasts at least a year. I'm looking forward to adding more NES and SNES games to this collection, as well as Famicom games.

For double the fun, use two systems
5/5

I bought two just to try them out. On both the snes and the nes, I tested a number of games.

100% of the SNES games were played, with 0% graphical glitching Even games like Star Fox, which have their own FX chips, performed admirably. br>br>All of the NES games I tried, such as MEGA MAN 6 and Legend of Zelda, worked flawlessly and looked far better than I had anticipated.

I was initially disappointed with the space black version, but it was defective, so I returned it and replaced it with this gray and blue version, which I am very pleased with
5/5

I think it's a good deal and a convenient way to play your NES, SNES, and Super Famicom cartridges for around $60. It also works well with my Super 102 in 1 multi-function device. Every game I've played on my HDTV looks and plays fantastically. I particularly enjoy playing Super Game Boy games with my Game Boy games. I considered getting the Retron 3 HD, but I'm not a fan of controller ports on the side of consoles, and I'm not a fan of combining Nintendo and Sega cartridge slots on the same console - Sacrilegious, in a way. As a result, I also bought the Mega Retron HD, which is also fantastic!.
