Questions & Answers

Is there an official PS Vita USB cable included with the PS Vita, or is it just a regular USB cable? A standard USB cable was included with mine. ?

PS Vita comes in two different models. The 1000 model system, which has oval start and select buttons, is the older of the two. This cable is exclusive to the 1000 and can only be used with that model. If your start and select buttons are circular, you have the most recent model 2000, which can be replaced with any standard mini usb cable. So, if yours came with a regular USB cable, it will not work because it is for an older model.

Will I need the other charging accessories that came with the PS Vita, or will I be able to use a standard charging brick?

A regular charging block, on the other hand, will burn the wire. I made that mistake.

Is there a USB cable included with the vita?

Yes. The PS Vita comes with a three-foot USB cable. long.

Why isn't this cable connected to a Sony box, as shown in the image? Did the majority of you receive your cable in a plastic bag with a sticker on it? This is a present for you. ?

In a bag, I put my cable. I also assumed it would arrive in a Sony box, but the cable did bear a Sony logo. The system is still operational.

5/5

It will not charge the system properly without the Vita AC adapter that comes with it. The system requires the appropriate AC adapter to receive and hold the charge, so plugging the USB connector into any other USB port (such as a computer or a USB wall plug) will not suffice. Before you buy this product, make sure you have the required AC adapter. br>br>In addition, this cable is only compatible with the original Vita 1000 model. The Vita 2000 (Slim) will not be charged.

- br>br>After misplacing my Vita 1000's original USB charging cable, I was on the lookout for a replacement that would last as long as the original (over 6 years). I believe that you get what you pay for when it comes to goods and services. I've seen a lot of listings on the internet for this product for the enticing price of $6-$7. $8 USD, as opposed to the outrageous listings of up to $37 USD (one of which was on Sony's own website, no less!). ) However, many customer reviews of said listings expressed dissatisfaction with issues like the cable not fitting the Vita port properly, holding a weak and/or inconsistent charge, and even completely ceasing to function after only 2-hours of use. Use for 3 months. br>br>Of course, I didn't want to spend $8 on a product that would break down on me in a matter of months, forcing me to look for a replacement. I was, however, equally opposed to the idea of paying nearly $40 USD for an official one that would last, which is almost as much as a game for the console! Thankfully, I came across this listing from Games America for around $19; After shipping tax, my order came to a total of $25USD, which is standard for online shopping, and it's certainly better than the $40 listings I'd seen elsewhere. br>br>Now, let's talk about the cable's quality: it's excellent. At first, it's a tight fit in the charging port, but it only takes a few seconds to fully plug it in; All you need to do is be a little more assertive. It's similar to opening a new bottle of ketchup; it's only difficult at first because it hasn't been opened before. br>br>As you can see in the images, the cable holds a charge very well (as highlighted in red in the first picture), and the official PlayStation logo is debossed onto the connector, just like the original Sony cable that came with the system when I first purchased it. This appears to be a genuine Sony Vita charging cable, as far as I can tell. As a result, I'm confident that this will outlast my old cable (assuming I don't leave it on the floor and have it mowed down by my desk chair). (It was a valuable lesson. ) TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL As far as I can tell, this is a genuine Sony Playstation Vita 1000 USB charging cable, with the quality and longevity that I was looking for in a charging cable. The connector fits snugly into the charging port at first, but all it takes is a little gentle firm wriggling into the port – after the initial connection, it will fit much more comfortably. When you get this product, make sure you have the correct AC adapter for your Vita, because plugging the USB connector into any other USB port will not be strong enough to charge the system. The Vita 1000 model is compatible with this cable. It will not fit any other Vita model, so if you need a cable for your Vita Slim, you'll have to look for one specifically for a Slim.

Overall, 100% satisfied with the product quality, fast shipping (ordered January 7th; The 13th has been set as a delivery date - 17th; It arrived on the 10th, and it was a great price; it's still a lot of money for a charging cable, but it's well worth it if you want one that will last you years rather than months. br>br>Thank you again, Games America, for your excellent service; now I can finally scratch that nagging Persona itch, haha. Please take care, and thank you again! If you're looking for a unique way to.

This is a great product that does exactly what it says it will on older people
5/5

It took a month from ordering to delivery due to the fact that it was shipped via snail mail. However, this is a good product that does what it says on the older, PCH-based models. The PS Vita 1000 is a limited-edition model. PS Vita replacement parts are becoming increasingly difficult to come by. I strongly advise you to purchase backups while you still have the opportunity. It is highly recommended.

Nothing compares to the real thing! Both the USB cable and the charger were purchased at a lower cost
5/5

I must admit that it worked fine for the first few months, but then the issues began. The cheap version connector messed up my PS Vita charging port, and I literally had to put pressure and force it in. br>br> Every time it took about an hour to bring it back to life ( with a charge of just 5% ) and at the end it just gave up, it wouldn not charge the vita with% The connector came loose one day, and I was without my vita for two weeks. CHEAP REPRODUCTIONS ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY! This item is fantastic. br>br> It works great with my iPhone and Android wall charger, and it recharged my vita in under 5 minutes! I know, "it's just a cable," but believe me when I say that this is the one cable that will last you a long time! Nothing beats the real thing, once again! I only ordered one because I wanted to give it a try, and it's fantastic. I'm going to get three more for my car, game center, and my wife now. I'm a fortunate man, to say the least. br>br>In conclusion, this is a really good product for a reasonable price, and Sony is beginning to take more ownership of their product's accessories, such as the vita charger and memory card. Yes, it's a little pricey, and it may seem inconvenient to some, but in the end, we have to admit that it's much better. This change suits me perfectly because I am an apple fan.

I'm not sure if this Sony Vita cable is genuine
3/5

Before I begin, let me state that the cable works, but it has some flaws. br>The cable arrived in a plastic bag rather than official retail packaging (as other customers have noted). When plugged into the Vita, the cable is much tighter than the original cable that came with my Vita. This sounds a lot like how third-party cables are described. When plugged into the Vita charger block, the cable is a bit of a tight fit. All of this makes me wonder if the cables are brand new or even Sony-approved. Because of these issues, as well as the price increase, I am unable to recommend this product or seller.

I'm very happy! For two reasons, I purchased this item
5/5

The first was that I wanted to use a cable to backup my Vita (I know you can do it wirelessly, but I prefer a hard line. ) The second was that the stock charger wouldn't fit in the soft-case nicely. Sony case that has been shelled. In the end, it is ideal for both purposes. I made certain that I purchased directly from Amazon. com, rather than a third-party provider. Yes, this is a genuine Sony product, and it cost me around $12 when I purchased it. It's quite durable, and I expect it to last for many years if I don't lose it. It's also convenient to be able to charge using a laptop or a car charger (both of which are frequently available when I travel). ) I haven't yet attempted to connect it to the wall- I'm not sure if it'll work with my Galaxy Nexus, but I'm confident it will. br>br>Overall, I highly recommend this if you want something less bulky to take with you when you travel, or if you need a USB connection for your PC.

Could be a fake if it feels too tight
3/5

It has the PS logo on it, but it came in an odd-looking box (about 12" by 10" like a documents package) that made it appear shady. Then I looked at the cable (which came in a small bag) and noticed that the head had some scratches on it. It looked a little worn, but it wasn't worn out. I had a hard time plugging it in, but I managed to do so eventually. It appears to be genuine until you put it to the test. I could be wrong, but I don't recall having to fight with it every time I plugged it in and out. In any case, it's the PS-branded charger, though I'm not sure it's worth the money.
