Yes. The cable works with any USB charger port; in fact, I use it with my Galaxy charger. I have never tested it to see if it charges slower this way but it will 100% charge the vita without the extra piece in between it will charge the vita without the extra piece in between

I recommend connecting it to a PS4. So, according to some reviews, this cable does not work. And it was because of this that I was hesitant to give it a shot. However, because it was reasonably priced, I decided to purchase it. br>br>When it arrived, I charged it by plugging it into my laptop, an iPhone charger, and even an iPad charger. Not a single thing. There will be no cost. br>br>I was furious and kicking myself for not paying attention to the negative reviews, but then I googled the problem and discovered that first-generation PS Vitas are notoriously difficult to charge. So you'll need a power source that's more than just an iPad charger or a USB port on your laptop. I also have a PS4 at home, so I plugged it in and it began charging right away. This isn't a wire issue; it's a PS Vita issue. You can use the original wire that came with the vita if only the USB part is broken. However, if you don't have the original wire (which I misplaced), your best bet for charging is a PS4 — laptops and other mobile chargers won't work. If you don't have access to a PS4, I recommend purchasing the original vita wire, as this USB cable will not suffice. If you own a P4, however, you should buy this and forget about it. It works flawlessly with the P4 and comes at a very reasonable price.
I'm not trying to make a sexist joke, but everyone is correct in saying that it's a tight fit. It takes a little pushing to get it in there the first time; I was worried it would break the charger, but it works. Just be aware that it is one of those items that is most likely'made in china,' but whatever, it works, and that is all we ask, right?.
It functions correctly. It does exactly what it should. It charges my vita and transfers data reliably. This cable allowed me to turn my vita into a powerful portable console, and it's incredible. So I figured I'd just go ahead and buy it. It works! Yes, it's a little tight, but at least it's not loose, because loose cables can fall out on their own and leave you with no charge. ever. In general, this is a well-constructed cable. If you prefer, you can always purchase the official PlayStation cable from a wallmart or here on Amazon. You should be fine if you don't yank the cable.
In the end, it's a better product than the Vita's original. After replacing the frayed cable that came with the Vita, it was a little difficult to put it in at first, but I now have my Vita charging on it. It's functional and of SOLID construction - period. I buy a lot of USB cables and make or buy my own Ethernet cables. It is double shielded and exactly as shown in the image. What could be better for $7?.
The cable is fine, but the random messages promoting other products while pleading for a review are beyond annoying. I don't review cable for at least three months, so I know they've lasted longer than the cable from the convenience store. In the first month, I received seven requests to review this cable. Four stars for the cable, but only half a star for the email and its customer service.
I got this cable because my old PS Vita cable was lost; when I first got it, it plugged into my PS Vita, but it was a very tight fit, and pulling it out required some force. There should not be excessive force used. The cable shielding was also detaching from the base, but the cable continued to function. I'm only charging my PS Vita with this.
Many people have commented that it's a close race or that they're worried about the fit. It's a nice, snug fit. There's no need to plug in with "a little force. " If you can't plug this cord in without thinking it's a little too tight, it's probably a bit too tight. You're a jerk-.
