A four-star rating overall. a rating of five stars br>br>The good (and it's a lot of it!) br>br>The case is well-made of stiff nylon, and it gives me a lot of confidence that my New 3DSXL will be perfectly safe during normal travel and use. Note that this is a nylon travel case; if you're going camping or rafting with your 3DS, you'll want to get something like a Pelican-style case. Hard case in the style of There are enough pockets to hold 16 games without doubling up, so you'll be able to bring a lot of games with you. The outer zippers appear to be up to the task that this case is expected to face in its intended use. A screen cleaning cloth, earbuds, and a USB charging cable can all be stored in the zippered pocket. The game console pocket is the perfect fit for my New 3DSXL, keeping it snugly in place with plenty of protection while still being easy to access when I'm ready to play. br>br>The drawback (which is minor): The "official" Nintendo charger will not fit in the interior zippered accessory pocket. It takes a lot of effort to close the outer zippers with just the charger in the pocket, a New 3DSXL in the console pocket, and no games in the game sleeves, and I can't help but feel like there are hard parts being squeezed together inside. I can only imagine how much more of a concern this would be with the full complement of 16 games in place, and even more so if the game pockets were "doubled up. " At the moment, I'm using a USB-based device from a third party. Overall, I'm surprised that a case designed for the Nintendo 3DS would have such an obvious flaw. br>br>However, as long as you're not planning to pack the Nintendo charger, everything should be fine!.
The official Nintendo charger fits in the inner zippered pouch with room to spare, despite one of the top reviews claiming otherwise. At the moment, I've filled all 16 game slots. I'll either double-up or triple-up my game library as it grows. Place some in the game slots or near the charger. In the zippered pouch, I also keep a spare set of earbuds. Even with everything in the case, there is plenty of room to move around (nothing is forced to touch). The case is made of high-quality materials, has a comfortable handle, and a sturdy zipper. After my previous case failed, I did a lot of research to find the best case for me. I've been using this one for over a year and it's fantastic.
To begin with the positive, the case has some really cool features. It's made of tough nylon, so you can rest easy knowing your 3DS is safe. The 3DSXL fits perfectly in its compartment, and if you only plan on using it to carry the 3DS, this unit is ideal. When it comes to adding accessories, problems arise. br>br>And now for the bad news. There is a manufacturing flaw in my case, as you can see in the photos, which renders some of the game sockets useless. Although it is advertised as holding up to 16 cartridges, my unit can only hold 14 due to this flaw. This type of flaw should, in my opinion, cause a unit to fail quality control, but mine was still shipped to me. This is disappointing because, if you look into this case further, you'll discover that this isn't a common problem, so you run the risk of receiving a defective unit if you order since this passes QC. The zipper pouch is the second major problem I have. It claims to fit the charger, but as you can see in the photo, using the official Nintendo charger causes a large bulge in the pouch, making it difficult to close. I only have 5 games in the pouch and it's difficult to close it, so I'm concerned about what would happen if I filled all of the game pouches. br>br>Overall, the case does a good job of protecting your 3DS, but there are better options for carrying games and accessories.
The fit is excellent. It can hold 16 game cartridges, not including the one that can be stored in your Nintendo 3DS. The DS is kept in place by an elastic band. The charger and additional styluses can be stored in the top zipper pocket, which is a little tight when the container is closed, but the mesh net and padded cartridge holders prevent scratching and damage. It's easy to grab and go with the help of the handle. I'm excited to take it with me on my journey.
I stuffed my games, 3DS XL, and charger into the case, zipped it up, and squeezed it a few times. It can withstand some pressure, but if you're going to leave it somewhere where it'll be stepped on, you might want to invest in a more durable case. br>br>Aside from that, I'm happy, and I like how small the storage space is.
I don't understand why these companies create products that are fantastic in almost every way except for one minor detail that becomes a major annoyance in the future. Its toughness is adequate; however, it could be better. It's great for traveling because the accessories don't take up any additional space. The smell is the only thing that detracts from the experience. I didn't think it was all that bad, and not doing cocan-free isn't a deal breaker. Admire the smell of febreeze wherever you go, that's what I'm saying. It's the same as if you had a puppy. It's a huge step forward in terms of quality of life, but it poop wherever it wants. My point is that the smell won't be an issue as long as you don't sniff the scent of literally everything you put on your hands.
This was a gift for my brother, who is an avid gamer, and he loves it. It can hold all of his games, as well as his DS and charger. If that makes sense, the case is similar to a hard softshell. If I dropped my DS in this case, I wouldn't have to worry about it. It also has a handy handle for easy transport.
This is an excellent argument. Everything fits, though the original charger does create a small (almost imperceptible) bulge when packed in, as others have noted. The padded, zippered, fitted compartment for it, on the other hand, ensures that it won't cause any damage to the rest of the case's contents. Plus, there's so much gaming space! This is by far the best of my three 3DS cases.
