Questions & Answers

Will a 3ds xl with a hori clear case fit in there?

Yes. My XL is protected by a Hori case, which fits perfectly. It does make it a little tighter going in and out, but I don't mind because I like the pockets the way they are. It also ensures that your 3DS and/or games won't fall out if the zipper isn't closed. However, it is correct.

Is it possible to use the case with the new Nintendo 3DS XL as well as the "slim play"? http: //goo. gl/i9NVHi (https://goo.gl/i9NVHi/) ?

My XL is protected by a clear Hori case, which blends in nicely. I'll admit that getting it in and out is a little difficult, but I'm glad for that, just as I'm glad the pocket openings aren't facing the zipper. As a result, if you don't zip it, the games and 3DS won't fall out, which is great if you want to take your 3DS out while still wearing the TakeCase via the included lanyard.

Will this protective case fit the new Nintendo 3DS XL? https: //www. amazon. com/protector-com/protector-com/protector-com/protect nintendo- new- 3ds- xl/dp/b011iybml2/ref=sr_1_17 xl/dp/b011iybml2/ref=sr_1_17 xl/dp/b0 utf8=utf8=utf8=utf8=ut ?

I have a Hori protective case that fits inside with plenty of room. I'm guessing TakeCase will work with the protector you're looking for.

Is it DSi compatible?

Yes, it will easily fit a Nintendo DSi - Thank you for your inquiry:

Almost perfect; I'm glad I chose this case; it's fantastic
5/5

Fits the new 3DS XL well, and I like how the top pouch is large enough to hold the charger comfortably and has a zipper to keep things from falling out during transit. The game pouches are the ideal size for my single game. It's a little thick, but that appears to be necessary if you want to fit the charger in there without things squeezing together. The bottom pouch is slightly wider (about 1/4", maybe 1/3") than it needs to be to carry the 3ds XL, so I was concerned that it might shift around in transit, causing slight wear to the sides over time. br>br>I haven't had it for very long, but from the little use I have given it, this doesn't appear to be a problem; the 3ds seems to settle towards one side and then doesn't move around from what I can tell. However, this is the only area in which I would suggest improvement. It would be absolutely perfect if they padded the inside walls of the bottom part with some thick foam stuff to make the 3ds fit really snugly in there; if this does cause wear to the sides over time, I'll come back here and update this, but I don't think that will happen.

(Almost) perfect; kitten- tested and approved by humans approved
5/5

There are a plethora of 3DS XL cases to choose from. There are only a few details that distinguish this one, but they're details that I believe are worth the slightly higher price. The exterior fabric is thick and durable, just as advertised. Unfortunately, my kitten prefers to sharpen his claws on this particular texture. Fortunately, the exterior material appears to be able to withstand the onslaught of fuzzy particles; I have yet to notice any picks in the fabric. I'll probably need to replace the case in a few months to a year, but the fact that I won't have to do so this week is a big plus for TakeCase. br>br> TakeCase holds the console in a Velcro "pouch," whereas other manufacturers use an elastic strap or nothing at all. The pouch has a stiff backing that sits between the console and the exterior of the case, providing an extra layer of protection against outside damage. The front of the pouch is mesh, but not just any mesh pocket; The mesh and its elastic edging stretch enough to almost insert the console without removing the pouch from its Velcro security inside the case, adding another layer of protection against damage from the inside. When I do this, the Velcro on the inside of the case peels away, so I say "almost. " It's simply more convenient to avoid having to remove the pouch as a separate step. However, without removing the pouch from the case, the console will not be able to be removed. a step made easier with the help of a small fabric pulley top edge of the pouch has a tab sewn in. br>br> As advertised, the carrying handle is useful. It's a collection of the best of what's out there. both- thick silicone from all over the world (? ) grippy- A nylon webbing strap is wrapped in a textured sleeve. The silicone wrap's dimensions, texture, and squish are more comfortable than the nylon webbing, which can support several times the weight. The strap is long and loose enough to grab without snagging the fabric, but the webbing is flexible enough for the handle to lie flush against the case's edge from the center to within half an inch of the edge. Webbing ends wrap around the hinge for a more secure fit; To avoid any harsh textures inside the case, the interior of the hinge is covered with soft fabric. It's a minor detail, but it's one that deserves to be noticed. It's a rare pleasure to come across a beautifully designed handle. br>br> The zippers are metal, not plastic, and have a long, smooth metal zipper-pull. pulls. They float around the corners without tugging or fussing with alignment. When the console is inserted or removed, the zippers retract slightly beyond the inner lip of the shell when the zipper is open, ensuring that the metal does not scratch. Another small detail that, when executed well, delights. thought- out. br>br> The stylus pen is a nice touch that I wouldn't pay for but appreciate. It's made out of a single piece of hard plastic that resembles a retractable ball. Although it is a point pen (that does not retract), it has a less comfortable grip than most ballpoint pens. points. The clip works, but it's made of the same plastic as the rest of the package, and it'd be easy to snap off with a little pressure. It is inexpensive as a stylus. It's included as a bonus. The built-in stylus isn't nearly as good as this one. The two elastic pen loops along the game's edges are possibly more important than the free stylus. flaps for storage, one for each flap I'm able to fit my metal-clad body in there comfortably. body Lamy 2000 fountain pen in either loop, though the larger Lamy must go in the top flap to take advantage of the extra room and close the case comfortably with the Lamy and the stylus (and games, charger, and console); With the Lamy in the bottom flap and the stylus stacked on top, the case closes comfortably around it without the stylus, but with the Lamy in the bottom flap and the stylus stacked on top, it requires a little more pressure than I prefer. However, since I'm not planning on carrying a metal fountain pen in my 3DS case, this is just a test to see how big a stylus can fit in there. Anything smaller than a Sharpie marker should fit, according to the answer. While the included stylus is only slightly more comfortable than the stock stylus in terms of thickness, the roominess of the pen loops and the way they're positioned against the top of the facing accessory pocket, where accessories are unlikely to compete for space, keep the bonus's ergonomic spirit alive. This is such a minor detail that it comes down to nit-picking. picking, but it's also possible that it's the set-up. The zippered top accessory pocket, advertised as being deep enough to hold the official power adapter, is DEEP. br>br> This is the feature I use and appreciate the most. br>br> With nothing in the pocket, a ruler will sink far enough to read half an inch at the zipper, but given where the zipper and pocket material are sewn in, it could be filled to fill the upper half of the case, to a depth of nearly an inch. Another portable game console could fit in this pocket. I can fit my entire PSP in the main accessory pocket with room to spare behind the top zipper - Yes, even with the 3DS XL in place, the case will still zip up that way. Side-to-side, my PS Vita is a bit tighter. The same applies on the other side. The game- The storage flaps do cut into that depth a little, but even with games in both flaps, there's still enough room for the (non-game) items. Without squeezing the case, you can fit an AmazonBasics adaptor, a USB charging cable, a small car USB adapter, and a 12,000 mAh battery (plus the 3DS XL itself). This is not a minor distinction. This is without a doubt a make-or-break situation. Break the point of decision. The accessory pocket differs slightly from the console pouch in that it is constructed in the same way: A wafer of foam is sandwiched between two layers of mesh. That's a nice touch, especially since the game carts face up into this space and could theoretically crack if pressed too hard against a hard surface like an adapter. (I suppose it would be even better if I intended to bring my PSP/PSV with me. ) )br>br>* 16-game storage; )br>br> Inconspicuous. This is also available in a number of other cases: Mesh strips with elastic edges The game's backside- The storage flaps are unpadded, with only the soft fabric to cushion them, but the case's spaciousness and padded console pouch compensate for this. When the case is held by the carry-on, I like that the game pockets are facing "up. " handle. The pockets are snug and secure, but the added security against games falling out is welcome. br>br>* The zipper opening is facing down when the handle is up. When the accessory pocket is zipped, accessories will not fall out. Because the game pockets are facing up in this orientation, no games will fall out. A few seconds of vigorous shaking, on the other hand, will dislodge the Velcro from the weight of the console inside, causing the console to tumble out of the case. However, this is a neutral rather than a negative because the same case design with an elastic strap rather than a Velcro pouch would drop the console much sooner than the TakeCase; It takes several seconds of frantic jostling, and I don't mean a few seconds. It's probably best if you just ignore the double-edged sword. Instead of letting the zipper pulls meet in the middle front/bottom, pull the zipper all the way to one upper corner and close it all the way. Other reviewers claim that their TakeCase arrived in its own box, complete with carry straps and a microfiber cloth. None of these were sent to me. My TakeCase arrived with nothing but the stylus in the shipping box. A standard "Do Not Eat" dessicant packet, a pen, and a standard "Do Not Eat" dessicant packet (Yum! ) There's no place to attach an extra strap, and those reviews are all from 2016, so I'm guessing those were features of a previous version. I don't plan on taking the TakeCase out of the house without putting it in a bag or backpack anyway, and given my point above about the potential for the console to fall out when the case is carried, I don't mind losing the strap all that much. Plus, you get free microfiber cloths with almost everything these days. My kitten, on the other hand, is very upset about the lack of a second cardboard box.

- More padding on the bottom game's back would be nice, I suppose. Other reviewers have suggested adding a storage flap or more cushioning to the inner material. However, there is a lot of space inside - and the case is already quite substantial - That too much cushioning would be counterproductive; instead, there's a greater emphasis on keeping things in place despite the extra space, which avoids the problem of items pressing too hard against the console. It would take some effort to overstuff the case to the point where interior cushioning would be useful, and more cushioning compared to exterior impact would reduce the interior space that is clearly the focus here. It appears to be a reasonable compromise. I'm off to you. br>br>FINAL REMARKS: br>br> I've seen a few cases that appear to be at least 9/10 as good as this one. However, I have yet to see one that I enjoy as much as this one. Many are less expensive, sometimes as little as two-thirds the price of this one, but none of them are as good as this one. If you're looking for something small and slim, something with a wrist or shoulder strap, or something to protect your otherwise-bare console from long drops onto hard floors, this TakeCase isn't for you. Aside from that, it's an excellent option.

Not substantial enough
4/5

I like the color scheme, and the design is appealing. br>Seems to be quite long-lasting. I've only had it for one day, but I put it through some stress tests on the zippers and handle, as those are two of the most common complaints about this product. br>The third issue is the worry about carrying the charger in it. br>When I plugged in the charger and closed it, my first thought was that it would harm my games. It appears to be squeezing them hard. More space at the top, in my opinion, is required. br>br>I've included photos of the case I'm currently using in my attachments. The only reason I felt compelled to purchase a new case was that the one I had previously didn't hold enough games. Apart from that, the other case exceeded my expectations, whereas this case did not. br>br>The other case is for the New 2DS XL. That is clearly stated on the package. However, I have a brand new 3DS XL with a clear shell that fits perfectly! br>br>It's a pain to get my 3DS into and out of the TakeCase. I have to say, I really like the mesh on the 3DS pouch. It has a reassuring and cozy feel to it. This is fantastic! If only getting my DS out wasn't so difficult. Or in. br>With that amazing cushioning on the DS pouch, I definitely agree with someone in the reviews who suggested putting the cartridge pockets in front of the DS rather than the charger pocket. Increase the case's width just a smidge so the top and bottom portions are the same size, and flip the game pockets, and the case will be greatly improved! br>br>The handle is something I really like. Similar to my other case in terms of quality. It won't be able to withstand the same amount of abuse, but if you're not rough with it, it should be fine. br>br>The only reason I can think of for this case having two zippers is due to previous complaints about the zippers coming undone. Because there are two, even if one breaks, you will still have a zipper. The clacking of the two zippers is, however, irritating. Perhaps a silicone coating or rubber zipper pulls would be beneficial? br>br>This case is great if you don't plan on bringing your charger with you. The stylus is very nice, and it has a capacity of 16 games. Plus, there's more room in that charger pocket. You could have them float around in that pocket worry-free if you use small DS holders like the ones that came with my other case. This case will primarily be used for game transport. It might be able to hold a charger without squishing things if it doesn't have a DS inside. TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR If you don't need to bring a charger, this is a great case.
