Mine had an ashtray smell to it. This item - which is supposed to be "Brand New" It smelled like it'd spent years in the smokey back room of Chain Smokers Anonymous, wrapped in (2) Two *unsealed* plastic bags. When I first opened the package, I literally gagged. br>br>I'm not sure what I'll do with it yet - Right now, it's open in front of a full-length mirror. In a different room, there is a high-speed fan. br>br>I grew up in a household where chain smokers were prevalent - I'm not one of those people who feels compelled to tell every smoker I pass about the dangers of smoking. But that doesn't excuse the fact that my *NEW* purchases smell like a cigar shop's trash bag.
The case itself isn't bad; it accomplishes its goals, but it falls short in two areas. 1. br>br> The strap snapped almost instantly, and because it was stitched together with a seam stitch, the slightest tug worked out the stitching (and caused my system to fall to the ground). Not good! 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The zipper area and the inside seam have poor stitch quality. There are numerous loose threads and areas that are beginning to show signs of wear. Glue or a re-useable re-useable re-useable re It should be fixed with stitch, but it shouldn't have been necessary to begin with. br>br>I ended up buying a better strap from Daiso, and while I can fix the other issues myself, I would have preferred not to.
My daughter needed a case, and this one was ideal for storing all of her games, charger, and DS. It's tough, secures the system inside so it doesn't move around, and it looks good. Because it's plain, she can decorate it with stickers and it's small enough to take with her on road trips.
My "New 3DS XL" barely fits in here, and it would be impossible to fit with a hard shell on it. The system's games slid into the slot with difficulty. When I line up four 3DS games in a row, they form an arch. This would work well with a ds or 3ds, but not with any XL models. It'll suffice until I can find something that will actually fit a New 3DS XL.
If it were possible, I'd give it zero stars. This product is not hard, and it is not resistant to water. I paid a lot of money for next-day shipping, but it never arrived. The case isn't what it appears to be and, to make matters worse, it stinks like a cigarette. I had to throw the package away because it stank up my office. I hope Amazon shuts you down because you're a bad company.
This was purchased for a standard 3DS, but it does not fit well. Originally designed for a Nintendo 3DS XL, this game is now available on the Nintendo 3DS XL. Furthermore, the games only fit into the game holders by a hair. However, for the price, it is adequate and will suffice.
The product does exactly what you'd expect it to do. It's a little bulkier, so if you're planning on using it to transport the slightly smaller new Nintendo 3DS, you might have more space than you need. The 3DS XL, on the other hand, is likely to fit snugly. The game slots are fine, but I don't think I'll ever need to carry eight games around with me. The charger fits in the mesh pocket, but if the cord isn't wrapped correctly, it may bulge. br>br>Is it able to complete the task for which it was created? Yes. Is it big enough to fit your games, 3DS, and charger inside? Yes. Is it cool and flashy? If that's what you're after, you'll need to look for something else. The case did come with an odd odor that lingered on the outside shell. br>br> I wiped it down a few times with warm soapy water and then let it air dry. After a while, it appears to lose its odor in this manner.
i . This is where I keep my 3ds xl. I usually don't put the charging cable in there, just the ds and games, but it fits everything. When it's just the ds and games in there, it's more sleek; with the charger/cables in there, it'll bulge out a little in the middle, but it'll all fit, and it'll zip close.
