Questions & Answers

Are the cables already attached to this unit so it can be hooked up immediately?

i bought this for my son as a gift. Cables did not come with the device, he says. The cables he used were his own, which he already had.

As you can see, I do not have a TV. What is the best way to hook it up to my PC to transfer VHS files to DVDs?

If you want to hook up a VCR to a computer, you will need a card called a "video capture card.". For around $20, you can find them on Amazon.

Can you tell me if the cords are included?

No, cords come with the system. It has worked great for me since I bought this vcr!

As a technology novice, I cannot handle it well. Do I need to install anything on the TV before I can connect the VHS player?

There is no wire attached to it it is very simple, but it has no cable for connecting to a TV.

This is an older, but still useful article
5/5

It's my 80th birthday today I came across this VCR (the exact same model as the one that died) because mom refused to give up her VHS tapes and her original VCR finally gave out. Needless to say, she was heartbroken until I found it. A VCR is still in demand among many, and the Panasonic exhibits success in this area.

Once you have listened to two tapes, stop working
3/5

By looking at the reviews, I thought this unit would be able to do what I need, as I have been wanting to convert my VHS tapes to DVDs. When I tried to copy two tapes, the program I was very disappointed for the amount I paid. I got the money back.

Although it behaved as expected, there are a few problems
4/5

It is used for copying old videos to my computer. My only issue was that the connectors were not shown on the product page. Does not have any types One RCA video connector and an F TV connector The output is an RCA jack as well as an audio out The outcome of It must be stereo, and not stereophonic). There is no such thing as an A video or any type of It might not be the best quality, but it works for what I'm trying to do. A photo of the back of the unit would have been useful, but just one more would have been enough. In the event that I had known it had been a type In case I knew I needed a $30 adapter ($30 from Amazon) I would have bought one.

It does what it is supposed to do, and for that, I am grateful
4/5

To watch VHS tapes found in antique stores, I purchased this device, and so far, it has proven to be a useful tool
I'm happy, so I'm content. The only thing I hope for now is that it will last as long as possible. Many of these films don't appear on DVD, or are too expensive for over-the-top distribution. They are old B-rated films, but they are worth $1 to $3 in the used video section of a video store.

There is a difference between the picture and the description
3/5

As I read the description and viewed the picture, Fred seems to be OK with me buying the VCR. There is a remote control and I was told it was included, and you can attach your own photo as well. In addition to the item, it did not include a remote control. In my contact with Amazon, they urged me to return it and order again. Because I thought it would be too much trouble, I purchased a $12 item. You can get a remote control at Target for $9. 95. The VCR is nice, but I would like to have a remote on it as well. If I had bought a different item from you, it would probably have been a different item. Knox, P.

Compared to new VCRs, reconditioned ones are a good deal
5/5

Despite its good condition and excellent performance, the unit was very reliable. We have included the remote and a cord as per our promise. As well, they were effective. So that our granddaughter could watch the old Disney VHS tapes, we bought it for her. The decision we made was a good one.

Exactly when it should be and is of great quality
5/5

I received it in good condition on time and without damage. There is a remote included with the unit, and it works fine. While I wish it had been packed more carefully, it arrived undamaged so I am satisfied with the result.

I am very happy with the results
4/5

I am very pleased with my purchase. I am extremely pleased with the VCR. It works great, and it was packaged superbly. Despite what was shown in the ad, it did not come with a composite cable. I thankfully had my own, which solved the problem.
