This was purchased to replace an old Bose CD player that had begun to make a clicking noise when I played a CD. The cleaner should be put in and it should "sing" to you, according to the instructions. Although music is played during the cleaning process, I assumed that was a typo. There was no way of knowing how long it would take or when it would be completed. "You will be played with a preset program to show you the perfect result of cleaning," the instructions continue (those aren't typos). Please be more specific in your instructions - br>br>Unfortunately, this did not work with my CD player; however, I do not blame the product; I believe my CD player is simply too old and worn out.
So I bought this product, which came with very few instructions or comments on how to use it. It appears to be designed to clean CDs when it first starts up. In any case, I inserted the cleaning disc and saw that there were six tracks that needed to be cleaned. While cleaning each track, it plays a different song. It took approximately 20 minutes for each one. Cleaning time is 30 minutes. The most important thing is that it did a fantastic job, and I no longer have any skipping DVDs.
I would strongly suggest both the product and the seller. Additionally, it is simple to operate.
The cleaning disc comes with two small brushes attached when you receive it. If it matters, both were completely mangled when they arrived. This disc was not recognized or played by the first CD player I tried, a Bose. Onyko, the second CD player, attempted to play but was constantly interrupted. To put it another way, this product was a complete dud, with no instructions on how to play it like a pro. As a result, I am unable to recommend this item.
I'm coming back. First and foremost, take care of business! There are instructions strewn about everywhere. 100% of the time, it's a waste of time. br>Music begins to play after the disc is inserted. There were no more prompts after 30 minutes, so I ejected the disc. When I tried to play a DVD, it kept skipping. Because it froze in the same spot as before, I tried a different DVD. br>The same result leads me to believe it's a ruse.
The item I received had been used previously and had to have been returned. One of the disc's brushes fell off right away, and the other appeared to be mangled. The box did not include any liquid cleaner; Instead, I tried isopropyl alcohol, which worked well. If it had come as a complete kit in the box, I would have given it at least four stars.
For a couple of years now, I've been working on this project. It also serves as a media player for me. It was always a dirty disc to me, until it started skipping even after I cleaned it. Then I assumed that the issue was caused by a default on each disc. The machine then stopped recognizing discs entirely, so I went to Google to look for a solution. The solution was to purchase a lens cleaner for the player. This was one of the books I ordered from Amazon. When it arrived, I noticed that the brushes had been flattened to some extent. I guess that's how they're supposed to be, because after 25 minutes of pretty good music, it had completed all six tracks and my DVD-R was no longer in the player. The CDG player is in excellent condition.
I stopped listening to our Bose CD player because it was skipping. When I'm cooking, I like to listen to Haydn, but I couldn't get it to play through my phone to our house's sound system because the CD disk was old and wouldn't label properly when loaded on my computer, and then I couldn't get my music library onto my phone. So. How should I proceed? Should I send the player to Bose for repair or should I use a cleaning disk? We decided to try a cleaning disk (because it was by far the simplest option), and it worked perfectly for us. There is still some skipping, but it isn't as bad as it used to be, so I believe it is due to dirt or damage on the disk. So we're on the hunt for a disk cleaner now! Thank you very much, Arsvita.
