Questions & Answers

With a cap full of records, how many can you really clean? I clean all records (mostly new) before playing them, and after ten records, there's still a lot of debris. ?

It depends entirely on the state of the records. If they're filthy, you'll probably have to wait 15 to 20 minutes before you have to empty them and start over. 20 filthy, filthy, filthy, filthy records. Now, if they are your typical dusty eyes that can detect dirt and dust, as well as possibly some fingerprinted grease, then they can easily detect dirt and dust and possibly some fingerprinted grease. You could spin about 40 records on a capful if they were clean records that just needed to be freshened up or were brand new out of the package. I can honestly tell you that I have cleaned with just one of these bottles util it was used all up one capful at a time over 1400 records and many and I mean It is well worth the money and investment, and it will last a lifetime! I went through my bottle in two years. I hope this information is useful.

Is there a used-by date on the product? When should you use the term "by" or "best-by"? I don't want to waste money by purchasing a larger bottle that will expire! Thanks?

No use- The 16oz bottle I currently have has no by or best-by dates, so I doubt it will spoil. I believe I used the previous bottle I had over a four-day period. Over a five-year period, there have been no problems, and everything has always worked as it should.

Is this supposed to be a replacement for the MKII with the yellow label?

They must have made a visual change since the last bottle I ordered looked like that. It appears to function similarly to the yellow label product, and it may be less expensive to have it printed on the bottle than to print and apply labels. I'm just speculating.

Will a D4 Diskwashing brush work for this?

The spin- In the spin-off, a clean record wash must be used. sanitized garbage can The spin- The D4 brush isn't designed to work with clean record wash. The spin- Because clean record wash is designed to be used in a bath system rather than directly on a brush, it would need to be heavily diluted.

What criteria do you use to evaluate effectiveness? I'm revisiting my extensive analogue collection as a rekindled vinyl record collector
3/5

I decided to wash them all because they had been neglected for so long. This is a major undertaking that will take a significant amount of time. I've already used up a bottle of cleanser. I reorder the same cleanser as before from Spin Clean. A laboratory would be required to rate these liquid "soaps. " All you have to do now is believe the same nonsense. There are a slew of competing brands, each claiming to be superior to the others. What criteria do you use to make decisions? I can only state that it is beneficial. It's impossible to say how much it helps. Without science, it's impossible to quantify. Possibly experiment with various brands. But, in the end, will your ears be able to hear it?.

There's such a thing as too much of a good thing
4/5

The de- As a matter of fact, this is a replacement for your Spin Clean system. In my experience, which has accumulated over 400 LPs, This should not be used excessively. The 1. The rule of thumb should be a two-cap limit per tank. Anything more than that, and you'll start to believe you're a superhero. Gummy vinyl and frequent stylus cleanings are the result of charging the mix. I'm converting my vinyl to high-definition. Pro Tools files with a $$$$ TT/stylus system in high resolution. It can be extremely beneficial when used as directed, similar to narcotics. When narcotics are not used as prescribed, the results can be unpredictable.

This is a fantastic system
5/5

This stuff is effective. I've been using it on some very old records that hadn't been kept in their original packaging, and it's really helped clean them up! Even if some records are unable to be saved, you have made a valiant effort to bring your records back to life using the appropriate solution and other cleaning methods.

It's simple to use and effective
5/5

I cleaned many records that I didn't want to play because of grime that would collect on my stylus using this product, and it worked perfectly. The Spin- Clean did a great job cleaning them, and my LPs sounded much better afterward. It's simple to use and clean, and it's simple to store. Instead of just two towels, I believe they should provide four. It's not ideal for just one record; you should get a few and clean them all at once, or the solution will go to waste. Still, it's a great product! Made in the United States of America! I'm glad I went ahead and bought it!.

Washer Fluid to Spin Clean This, along with distilled water in a spray bottle, is what I use
4/5

3 full capfuls per 32 oz. of water. Then I clean up my albums with an audio technica record brush and a microfiber cloth; it works well, but I've never tried any other cleaning solution, so there may be something better out there. This works for me, so I'll continue to use it.

I purchased the larger bottle because it works so well
5/5

I have hundreds of records to clean, so once I discovered that this fluid and my Spin Clean washer worked well together, I began cleaning batches of 30 records at a time, quickly depleting the first small bottle I purchased. So I went out and bought it. Make sure you're using distilled water. If you only clean a few records, you can keep a batch in your cleaner for a day or two after you've made it. If it takes any longer, I believe you should start over.

This bottle will keep me spinning for a long time, as only a capful is required each time, making 40 and 50 year old albums look brand new!.
