Selected User Reviews For Memorex OptiCloth CD/DVD MicroFiber Cloth
Don't be fooled by reviews claiming that this cloth is similar to others. This is without a doubt the best microfiber cloth for cleaning surfaces that are prone to scratching, such as CDs, DVDs, and glasses. The problem with microfiber cloths, in my opinion, is that most people would not notice if another cloth left a few hairline scratches on their CDs or glasses. People don't seem to care about the quality of their electronics in general, I've noticed. This is something I've learned from buying used electronics. If you want to clean the lenses on a pair of expensive 3D glasses, or if you want to clean a rare video game disc that is in mint condition and you don't want even the tiniest scratch on it, this cloth is for you. All of them, including the MagicFiber cloths, have been tried and tested. Yes, those clothes are nice, but this one is even better. I've even put them all through their paces on blank CDs. The majority of the cloths that come with glasses and other items will scratch the CDs quite a bit. It will be scratched slightly by the MagicFiber cloth. This one, on the other hand, isn't going to scratch it. If you don't care, go with whichever one you want, but if you do, get this one. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: This cloth has been replaced with a newer version, and I am no longer able to recommend it. It's still decent, but not outstanding. Shame. I've never come across a cloth that compares to theirs.
This is what I use to clean filthy library DVDs. I'm attempting to keep my Blu-ray player as clean as possible. br>br>When I use it, I begin in the middle and work my way outward. I repeat this process about 16 times, rotating the DVD slightly each time, but not in circles. Scratching may result as a result of this. That's something I've read on several websites about how not to clean a DVD. Make sure you're not going around in circles. br>br>When properly applied, this cloth shines and cleans DVDs. This cloth will take care of it if I forget and the DVD skips. br>br>For this price, it's a great deal, and it doesn't leave any threads behind. It's made of microfiber rather than cotton.
This fine lime-colored cloth aided in the resolution of the issue. Simply wipe your discs from the innerbr>center out toward the edge, as directed by the instructions. DO NOT use a circular motion to wipe your DVDs, as this may scratch the delicate information tracks on the discs. WHEN USED PROPERLY, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT!.
It's a lot better than the tissues I was using before! The prints are gone in just a couple of swipes. br>br>The only criticism I have is the small pouch that came with it. Either I'm bad at folding things back up or the pouch that comes with it is a little too small. It's a small plastic baggie, essentially. I can't get the cloth into the pouch without bunching it up or folding it over awkwardly.
Rays in the manner described. I bought this cloth in the hopes of cleaning some of my scratched DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Rays are spotless and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, as soon as it is used, it leaves tiny lint and dust specks. It's as good as an eyeglass cloth when it comes to cleaning them. It was a huge letdown and a waste of time and money.
It works.
Previous cloths I've used deteriorated after being washed. This one, on the other hand, claims that it won't. I haven't had the occasion to wash it yet, so I won't know until I do. I'll update this once I've completed it to inform others of my findings.
this is what I got; It's a good substitute, possibly even better than the one I'd been using for years. I can't keep the dust off my CDs, so I rely on a good product like this, (and no, I wasn't paid to say this). This is simply my honest opinion on the subject. subject).
