Questions & Answers
It depends on the cause of the DVD skipping. If it's just dirty, this fluid will take care of it if you follow the simple instructions. Note: If your disc is covered in nail polish, paint, or another hard non-removable substance, remove it. This cleaner will not remove organic contaminants because it is not a paint remover. It's designed specifically for everyday muck. It will not repair a gouge or major scratch on a disc that is gouged or has major scratches. There are repair kits available, but our testing has revealed that these repairs are dubious at best; some fluids destroy the coatings on recordable discs, and repairs are at best temporary; in fact, some discs played worse with those other cleaners than before due to the wax used. TME Lasermedia CD-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM DVD- The best cleaner is 8, but it isn't sold as a system for repair. There's only one way to get rid of scratches and gouges, and it's a time-consuming process that involves sanding down the disc's surface and polishing it to perfection. This is not something you should try at home!
That is an excellent query. The fragrances in air fresheners are usually oil-based and have a water/oil base to carry them through the air. It's unlikely, but it's possible that the freshener stained the disc's surface, which is made of a relatively impervious polycarbonate material. So what we're saying is that the dots are most likely dried oils that aren't stained. Spray the disc and let it sit for a minute or so now that the oils have dried. Clean the disc with a clean soft cloth and repeat until it is completely clean. If you notice a smear, it's the dissolved oil that needs to be cleaned off with a fresh, clean cloth. Use a clean old T shirt or terrycloth to wipe away this type of dirt. I hope this information is useful. Please keep us updated on your progress.
CD/DVD- 8 will remove typical dirt from a Wii disc, such as fingerprints, food, and so on. It's not meant to remove scratches (we've yet to find a *scratch remover* that actually works, and the majority of them make things worse). ) Scratches can be removed with a special machine, but it is extremely expensive and requires a variety of critical polishing techniques.
CD-ROM from Lasermedia DVD- 8 will clean Blu-ray discs as advertised, but you're out of luck if they're damaged rather than just dirty from finger prints and dirt. There is no liquid or glop that can be sprayed or spread on a damaged disc to repair it reliably. In fact, TME's testing revealed that some of the products that were supposed to miraculously repair the discs actually made things worse, skipping and freezing the program in places where there had been no problems previously. There are some very expensive repair systems that actually sand down the surface and buff out the scratches, but these are very expensive systems for archives and the like, so if the disc still won't play after a good cleaning or two, replace it. However, try playing it on a different brand DVD player first, as there can be significant differences in how well different DVD players handle missing data caused by a scratch or gouge.

Maxell's CD cleaner is the only product that works reasonably well now that it is no longer a one-off. Maxell's has a reputation for cleaning and retrofitting DVDs, but I believe they would ruin a Blu-ray disc, which is why it was pulled from the market. Blu-ray discs have a unique coating that can only be cleaned with water. There is no coating on CDs or DVDs. Best wishes to you.
After purchasing a used 400 Disc Changer to use with my 25-year collection of 200 CDs, I used this with Allsop CD and DVD Fast Wipes to clean about 175 CDs, mostly self-made, after purchasing a used 400 Disc Changer to use with my collection of 200 CDs, many of which had been handled fairly roughly and many of which were simply nasty from handling. Although I have not yet played all 175 I have cleaned, I have noticed a significant increase in the number of cards that previously stuck or had reading errors and now play perfectly. Love my CD's Jacksonville Boy who loves his ancient Home Town Bands like Lynerd Skynard, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Blackfoot, and others. A bygone era old folks music that I still love to jam to with my Les Paul and Strat.
TAKES VERY LITTLE ON THE CD, WIPES THEM ACROSS, AND CLEANES THEM SO THEY DON'T SKIP HAS TO BE DONE ACROSS, NOT ROUND AND ROUND. MY PLAYER IN MY CAR, I THOUGHT WAS IT.
My nephew's DVD movie was thoroughly cleaned with this DVD cleaner. He's four years old, and he brought his DVD movie to my house to watch. When I went to pick up his dvd movie, it was sticky from his sticky fingers and scratched, so I used the dvd cleaner to remove all of the sticky stuff from the dvd movie as well as the scratch. This is something I'll get for his parents to use on his or their DVD movies.
It's a great cd/dvd cleaner that works well, and I'm glad I found it.
These discs were purchased from a used music store and as a result, they had some wear and tear. When I bought the cleaner, I didn't have high expectations, but it had good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. The first two discs that I cleaned with the Lasermedia cleaner played flawlessly, much to my surprise. I am overjoyed. This is an excellent product.
It's easy to use, and I've already used it to clean a DVD and a Wii disc that weren't working properly. I bought wipes to go with it, but I'd buy it again. Fingerprints and other sticky materials left by small children were removed.
Note: This product does not claim to be a scratch remover. br>br>When I set my expectations, I kept this in mind. This is what I'm using to clean my DVDs with. It removes some fingerprints and is effective against dust when applied with a soft cloth. Unfortunately, it won't work on anything greasy or tacky. Some might argue that using a lens cleaning cloth instead of this is a better option.
