Questions & Answers

What's the best way to keep your brush clean? I imagine contaminating the fluid by reintroducing a dirty brush. ?

Cleaning the brush with rubbing alcohol and distilled water is simple. I've been using this product since 1964 in Japan, and I still use it today. Because I still have the equivalent of 1 1/2 pints of this fluid, I'm not sure if the formula has changed. Yes, this fluid performs admirably, and I haven't noticed any significant evaporation in recent years. I brought four pints of this fluid with me when I moved to the United States in 1968, and I'm still using it. This fluid should be used indefinitely if you value your disc and stylus. It doesn't matter if you buy the STAX, TEAC, or Audio Technica versions; they're all the same!

How much liquid is in the bottle (in ML)?

The bottle does not state this.

I see a small 'a' after the P/N, and the cap color is orange, but mine is white with no sm 'a.' Is there a revised, newer version of this product?

Sorry, I'm not sure if there's a newer version; mine also lacks the "a" and has a white cap.

contains a flammable substance such as alcohol or another flammable substance? thanks?

I believe an alcohol, possibly isopropyl or ethanol, is used. I'm not sure, but it smells like alcohol to me.

It's effective, but so is distilled water on its own
3/5

colossal mark-up able to take it as it comes; For $16, you get 33 ounces of water and alcohol in a tiny glass bottle with a brush. It works, but not as well as distilled water applied with a stylus brush. Because it works as advertised, it gets two stars instead of one. br>br>It's worth noting that Ortofon does not recommend using stylus cleaning solutions because they may dissolve the cement that holds the diamond to the cantilever. I started by testing the fluid on an older stylus that I had already replaced. You should use it at your own risk. br>br>Instead of the orange top shown in the photo, my bottle came with a white top and brown glass.

A happy stylus is one that is free of dirt and grime
5/5

Other stylus cleaners have been seen on the market. The majority appear to be some unidentified concoction from an unidentified company that will do unidentified things to a stylus. I use Stanton Stereohedron styli and trust Audio Technica to produce a safe and high-quality product. Stereohedrons sell for a lot of money when they're found, according to anyone who knows vintage audio. I don't want to take any chances by using a sub-par product. standard product. br>br>As for the actual review, it cleans well and will most likely last for many years before evaporating, becoming lost, and so on.

I believe it was picked up by the shuttle
5/5

Let's take a look at the AT607. I'm not sure what to make of this stylus cleaning fluid. Hmm, I bought it on Amazon and had no idea it was going to be shipped from Japan. I heard it had to stop on Mars or Jupiter before arriving at my house. Okay, that's a stretch, but it took a long time for me to arrive in the United States from Japan. Good cleaner, long wait for delivery, but glad it arrived and functions properly. It's really good!.

So far, everything has gone well
4/5

Every now and then, I employ the magic eraser technique. So far, everything has gone well. I use the magic eraser method, then dab a little of this onto a $7 stylus brush after every few LPs. So far, the stylus tip hasn't been weakened by the fluid, which hasn't been for very long. To avoid having extra creepvup cantsliever in the motor assembly, only use a small amount of it.

A longer brush is required
3/5

It appears to be in good working order. Cleaning from top to bottom? What exactly does it purport to do?.

It's all good
5/5

It performs as expected and is built to last a lifetime! Nothing else worked to get the gink out of my stylus that I got from a garage sale find, but this did the trick.
