I've seen the audio on the menu screen, and I've heard it before. However, I believe you will need to upgrade to a recording camera or connect a microphone to the dvr.

This unit came with a pre-installed Samsung Surveillance Hard Drive of 4TB. Yes, I can install a HDD, but at the price I paid for the HDD that was already installed- I saved $25 by setting up a DVR: )br>br>I'm used to configuring Port Forwarding or Virtual Server settings on my router for CCTV-related purposes. As an additional benefit, I created a Zosi Cloud Account free of charge. With this cloud setup service you will be able to view your recordings via a screen outside your home network, as well as manage DDNS accounts. br>br>Connecting all 16 of my existing cameras was simple; the system recognized them and all 16 cameras were up and running within 2 minutes of turning on the system; you will need to do some configurations, such as masking trees or other non-standard features. If you wish, you can rename all cameras and adjust color settings as wellbr>br>as for playback, you can use the interface built into the DVR or use the AVSS desktop software (you can playback on the smartphone app, but it is not as effective as the AVSS or DVR Unit playback)br>br>(Yes, I had to contact-email support)br>br>(Yes, I had to contact-email support)br 3 to 1. 6 which resolved my AVSS playback issuesbr>br>overall, I am pleased with this purchase; for the price, it is difficult to find one that works as well as this one,br>br>I did purchase 4- AHD- 2MP Zosi I ordered 1080p cameras from Amazon for $65 (after a $15 discount) and they are on their way to replace my high-traffic AHD-based cameras. Replace your old 720p cameras with these new ones, and replace the semi-automated cameras with the automatic ones. I was hesitant to buy this at first, but after installation, configuration, and even working with their support team, I am now confident in my decision. br>br>I was hesitant to buy this at first, but after installation, configuration, and even working with their support team, I am now confident in my decision. I also configured my router for the ports Zosi uses, as well as set up my DDNS account on the Zosi DVR (which I don't really need, but it's there)br>br>again, I'm happy with the purchase.
When I contacted Zosi service, I received no response to my online service request or when I called their Whatsapp support line; however, Amazon kindly sent out a replacement DVR. That DVR appeared to function normally until it was discovered that it was broadcasting a scrambled/random Device ID to the router, making it impossible to access the DVR using a smartphone or computer. Both units were returned to Amazon, and my DVR will now be made by a different company.
Soon after installing their hardware, I had to contact their customer service/tech support. I attempted to review some recorded footage but discovered that the system was not initially storing anything. All of the system settings were correct, and there was plenty of space on the hard drive; however, the software required immediate updating/upgrading; It required downloading a file to a thumb drive and then rebooting the computer to update the system. Another issue I had was that the USB ports on the front and back of the DVR are the same USB port, and only one device can operate in those slots at a time. I had a mouse plugged into the back USB port, and when I went to download footage, I plugged a thumb drive into the front USB port, but the mouse was deactivated. This product received a four out of five rating from me. Based on the product itself, I gave it a five-star rating. br>br>On the other hand, I received a 5-star rating. With the Zosi tech support team, I had a five-star customer experience. Overall, Coco, the representative who assisted me with troubleshooting, did an excellent job. Step by step, Coco aided me. Step one is to figure out what's causing the issues and what can be done about it. Except for the duplicate USB issue, the DVR and cameras are working perfectly now. br>br>This is a system that I would buy again.
This was purchased to replace a Zosi system that I purchased several years ago. When the hard drive failed, it was only a matter of replacing it. Unfortunately, I have a second Zosi 8 camera system on the floor that I purchased in October 2017 to supplement what I already had. I'm still planning on installing the remaining eight (in reality, he claims he should've just removed the DVR from that set). The image is of good quality. For a couple of the cameras, I've set this up using motion email. I occasionally receive far too many emails that contain nothing, but this is a fantastic camera system in general. It's simple to use and set up, and I'm satisfied with it overall.
It's also never been able to access the internet. It no longer recognizes the hard drive, which was the main reason I bought it in the first place. That only lasted about nine months. It's a low-cost system with a ton of functionality. My previous system, on the other hand, never simply died out. My previous Swann DRV and Hard Drive were still working five years after I purchased this. I didn't make as many resolutions as I would have liked, but I wish I had. A security system with a hard drive that fails frequently is effectively useless.
My surveillance cameras are wired, and the previous DVR, which I had for two years, suddenly stopped working. I purchased this one with some trepidation, but it has exceeded my expectations. It took less than ten minutes to put everything together. It's also very simple to set up an app or an online account. The picture quality and night vision are both excellent. The system can also monitor up to eight cameras at the same time. My purchase was a great success.
I decided to take a chance on this one rather than spend the money on a more expensive Lorex replacement. I'm so happy I did. I had a problem setting up the password after an easy install/swap out, so I reached out to tech support via Facebook Messenger, and he stayed with me until the problem was resolved, guiding me through each step. Now I'm back up and running for a fraction of the price of a new computer. I couldn't be happier!.
