So far, I have been pretty happy with my purchase. I find the NVR to be fast, responsive, and the user interface to be relatively straightforward. When it comes to using the Hikvision NVR, if you are familiar with Hikvision cams, you will be right at home. The program runs significantly faster than before, most likely due to the It is great that this NVR has plug and play capabilities. Whenever you plug a Hikvision camera into any of the NVR's 8 POE ports, the NVR recognizes it and starts using it right away. Other than enabling a specific recording schedule for each camera on the NVR (Motion, Continuous, Line Crossing, ect), there was nothing else I needed to do.

An interesting thing I noticed when I first plugged in my hard drives and fired up the NVR is that the internal alarm beeper kept ringing. When you format the hard drives through the NVR's web interface, this alarm disappears and it serves only as an alert for a hard drive error. The alarm can also be turned off directly, if you prefer. When you use Hikvision Cube cameras, this will occur the same way as soon as you insert a microSD card that has not.

I was satisfied with the delivery. The firmware is in English and is packaged by Hikvision. The power cord was European, but it came with an adapter for use in the United States. My current NVR is a Hikvision NVR. I think I can get support from Hikvision with the help of the standard desktop PC power cord. I updated the BIOS from the NVR that I already have, but I'm not sure. It is most likely on the grey market at this price.
