Questions & Answers

Are there English language options included and can the firmware be upgraded?

My apologies for the inconvenience. Yes, it will come with English language and can also be updated. It is a pleasure to work with The word "Andy" can be used as well

Can you tell me the number of HDD slots available and what the maximum capacity is for each of them?

The internal HDD has the following attributes eSATA 3.0 ports, a maximum HDD capacity of 10 TB *br> With SATA III ports, you can connect up to 2 HDDs. Thank you for your kind words.

What kind of IVS functionality does this unit have? Are there indications of a line crossing, activation, auto tracking, and detection of people/vehicles?

Because I don't have any experience with security camera systems, I am unsure how to answer. Despite the fact that it does support IVS, I don't think IVS is included in the NVR. Cameras with IVS are built into the IP network. There are several types of IVS built into the stationary turret cameras (tripwire, intrusion boxes, smart detection, vehicle/human, missing and abandoned objects). The PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) camera that I use has IVS and auto tracking capabilities. While I am not positive that IVS is not supported by this NVR, it definitely works with the POE cameras I have connected to it, and the IVS works as set up in the cameras interface accessed through

This unit has 8 x poe ports to connect cameras, is that correct? Does the hard drive come with it? What mounting options are available for rack mounting?

The 8Channel 1U 8 ports PoE 4K and the 8-channel 1U 8 ports PoE were both available A 265 Pro Network Video Recorder does not come with a hard drive, but it has this option. It does not come with a rack mount option. It is a pleasure to work with

The hard drive must be ordered separately
5/5

Great NVR, but hard drive must be ordered Purchased this NVR, as well as four cameras and the hard drive it requires. It was a two-day surprise for all to arrive so early. Packaging quality was excellent from the manufacturers of individual components, as well as from Amazon's bundled components. All of the items that were listed as included were present. Once I had unpacked the box, I installed the hard drive in the NVR, and made up some cat-5e cables to install the cameras at a temporary location before installing them at their permanent positions. Virtually all of the components went together seamlessly and the system is packed with lots of My jaw dropped when I saw this. This is amazing. All my needs will be filled with this camera, and I will have the flexibility to expand an additional camera in the future. Additionally, video recordings can be stored for a long time. A total of two hard drives containing up to ten terabytes of storage can be installed. Taking pictures before I hooked up the cameras would have improved my workflow. The reason it is sitting sideways in that position is because I was utilizing a short piece of cable that I had on hand to reach it. I recommend you do what I did and read as much as you can on IPcamtalk forum if you are like me and this is your first exposure to cameras and recorders.

We are the one you're looking for
5/5

It's time to face facts these days an NVR is really just a commodity. The program works well, it accomplishes what it is supposed to. However, I'd imagine that covers pretty much any NVR from any As mature as this technology is, it is still relatively young. So in this case I wouldn't normally leave a review or if I did, I wouldn't. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars This is an average score for me. The review and 5 stars, then, why would that be? I can explain it in a few sentences. We are very pleased to have Andy and the entire Empire technology team on board. Moreover, the level of customer service goes far beyond what is considered good in the modern day. There were a few issues I came across During our exchange of emails, Andy and I discussed several things. A top priority of his was to ensure that everything was perfect, and he was always highly responsive. My side of the issue was a little messy as well as a minor issue with a small part on the NVR caused the problem. All the time, Andy stayed on top of things. I was very worried that everything would go well and that I would be

In all honesty, I couldn't have asked for a more helpful support staff in any other situation. If I had returned the product to Amazon, I would have expected a refund. Disputation of charges is also an option. It was a great pleasure dealing with Andy and I did not have to start the process all over again. This is not necessarily something that can be said all the time. As a matter of fact, you get what you pay for here. EmpireTech had the best prices, according to me. It may not be the case, however. There is no need to pay the price differential if they are worth it. At most, you can say it There is something missing from my setup. I need additional cameras. My future search will be focused on one place only. The above are Andy & Co. The EmpireTech Group. When you have questions, need advice, or need support, ask Andy and I'm sure he'll be able to answer them. You'll be guided in the right direction by him. It is much more important to him to assist you in finding the appropriate solution to meet your needs than to make The following is a statement by Andy A big thumbs up for your assistance and support. I appreciate it very much. Thank you.

The unit was password protected and came in an open box
3/5

I couldn't log on because it was already set up, there was no power cord, the case had been removed prior to purchase, two cameras were attached, the username and password had been pre-set, and the recovery email I was sent wasn't mine. Neither the vendor nor the buyer is responsible here. Returns were taken by Amazon, without examining its contents. An item was shipped out again as new without any further scrutiny.
