There is nothing user-friendly about it. amicable when it comes to Amcrest software I'm a software engineer, and their software, both for NVRs (which I have) and cameras, is terrible. I wish I had known before I bought their merchandise. Support for the Mac is far inferior to that of Windows. I can't even get NVR to send me notifications when motion is detected. And there are a few other things, such as the fact that NVR records video in. If you want to play DAV video, you'll need third-party software. Anything Amcrest sells is something I would avoid.
Yes.
Both af and at are used.
Amcrest Technologies is fully compliant with the Onvif standard. The unit will work with Goswift 4K cameras that are Onvif compliant. However, for a more comprehensive overall experience, Amcrest recommends using Amcrest Cameras with Amcrest NVRs and DVRs. Amcrest Team br>br>

The setup was double-checked and found to be identical to what was described in the manual. I spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with the firmware. Last but not least, I dialed 713- 893- Gary, who spoke with a slight Indian accent, answered the phone at 8956 and offered assistance. Through the Amcrest. com Remote app, I gave him remote access to my computer. He started with my settings, but the email tests were still failing. Then he switched from 465/SSL to 587/TLS for the Port and Encrypt Type. It's back to normal in no time! The technical assistance is fantastic and painless. free. *****.
This WIRED product has made me extremely happy. br>br>Pros: br>Extremely clear picturebr>Real-time videobr> time previewbr>Easy to view previous recordingsbr>Excellent Customer Supportbr>High quality cameras that can be adjusted to any viewing anglebr>Easy to preview live on PC and Monitor connected to NVRbr>br>Cons: br>Must use Internet Explorer to access the computer (no support for Chrome or Edge)br>Android App is poor - There are far too many options, and the majority of them are ineffective. Simply demonstrate two points to me: Playback is easy to access and has a live preview! br>The NVR user interface is difficult to use - For almost everything, you must contact support. br>br>I've recently switched from wireless to wired (which is flaky, unreliable, and unstable). The way to go is to go wired. Fortunately, they have excellent customer service; I am fairly tech-savvy, but the poor NVR UI and manual required multiple calls to get everything figured out. Using Amcrest ProHD Cameras with this: br>br> IP2M, 1920VL 852EW, as well as Amcrest 5- Switch for POE ports: AMPS5E4P- Even with the drawbacks, 58 (so I could run one Cat 7 to the garage)br>br> This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
The NVR's instructions aren't the clearest, and one of the first things you'll notice is that it asks for a Preferred DNS and an Alternate DNS when you first set it up. I was stuck until I discovered how to enter number 8 through a search. Preferred DNS is a number of eight, and the number of eight is a number of eight Alternate DNS is given a score of four out of five. I already had the Amcrest WiFi cameras connected to the app, and they worked fine, but I couldn't get them to connect to the NVR. When I contacted customer service, Jared was extremely helpful and patient. The first issue was that my NVR password had special characters in it, which it doesn't like, so stay away from them. We were able to reset the password after a series of steps, and I then had to repeat the process for each camera. He was able to connect to my laptop and use the web app to configure the cameras, which is far more convenient than using the NVR screen. I'm still working on adding more cameras, so we'll see how things go. For now, I'll give 4 stars because the support was very helpful during our 45-minute call, which gives me confidence that if I run into any other issues, Amcrest will be there to assist me. This is my first NVR, so I can't compare it to others, but it's not bad in general if you follow my password advice.
It was almost instantaneously up and running with three different ONVIF cameras after being plugged in. We're glad we went with our gut. Long-distance power is a strong suit for POE. Approximately 250 feet in length.
I purchased a four-camera, eight-channel nvr. There's a ptz, a bullet camera, and two domes. The items are expensive, and I had to buy them one at a time, but it was well worth the effort because the installation was simple and straightforward, and the camera image quality is excellent. I'm still learning how to get the most out of the system, but every time I look at the display, I feel satisfied that my money was well spent. Amcrest's products are of excellent quality, and I commend them.
I'm not voting on motion because one of the cameras is on a tower and the others are surrounded by vegetation. I purchased a 6 TB Skyhawk HD and set it to record 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So far, everything has gone well. *If I accidentally posted twice, please accept my apologies. I meant to type TB instead of GB, but I'm not sure if this is a correction or a repost (Amazon is a little confusing).
up NVR. This is an excellent NVR. In 15 minutes, I was able to install a 4 terabyte hard drive, power it up, and configure it. Only if you have WiFi extenders on your home network will it be difficult to set up, but the app makes it simple. It's a snap to set up the cameras.
It is now fully functional.
