Using this unit with 4 cameras and a Koolertron 7 Inch HD FPV Monitor, I can monitor 4WD and off-road adventures. Here are the good news A simple and easy to use system With individual buttons on the box and the remote control you can select quad display, picture in picture display or individually select any 4 cameras. There is a standard BNC connection which is used by most home security systems. The device has two BNC outputs (each providing the same signal) one for monitoring, one for The battery for keeping settings is built into the device. Here are some of the bad things It is notorious for BNC connectors to be difficult to move one from one point to another. The surface mounted chips on the board are machine soldered and look fine, but the other electronic components (the stuff above the board) are poorly soldered and so are the bnc connectors. I refilled all the connections with solder and checked the overall fit. All of them are soldered together and I'm using electronics grade RTV to ensure none of the components vibrate because I'm going to use this off-road. It is a bit painful to scroll through the menus, besides the monitor selection. An internal battery is built into the board. The remote has to be pointed directly at the box front, I believe because the remote receiver is sunken both in and out. It'd be nice if I could unsolder it and place it higher. Despite all these shortcomings, I'm still giving it four stars because it works as advertised, and it was a lot cheaper than other similar products.
The seller then got their technicians involved to assist. I later discovered it wasn't their fault. There is no getting around it Their product will never let you down! It's a good thing they did it.
While it works to display my cameras, the date/time feature is defective. I returned the first unit because it would not keep time. Despite the replacement unit having the same problem, the problem persists. As you can see in the picture, the seconds indicate how many seconds have passed. This is definitely not a purchase I would make.
The time is now, in You have many options in the OSM with Channel Titles, Motion detection, and Time and Date. With this model, you can even use your VCR as a loop - I thought I would pass this on to those who still have Time Lapse Recorders (I seriously doubt anyone still has these). A Quad such as this is ideally suited for people who need to add multiple cameras to a single DVR channel. As usual, the Quad produces incredibly clear pictures that work well on DVRs. These models work well for me and I have three.
The Mini DVR was a practical way for me to add cameras to my 4 channel DVR that was inexpensive. I found it to be relatively easy to set up and to use. About two months after the picture was taken, it began to distort. My unit was returned to the company after I contacted them. As soon as they found out that it was a bad unit, they sent me The evertech customer service was good although I am not happy that the product has broken.
In this sense, it works. But the quality of the picture is degraded. As soon as I unhooked the camera one at a time and connected directly to the monitor, I figured it was my camera. They provide a much sharper picture when they are plugged directly into the TV, without nearly as much static or jumping. you are looking for a cheap in price and quality quad splitter, this one is perfect.
I am surprised by how well it turned out. As a supplement to the user instructions, I took pictures of the monitor screen. Although I was initially confused on how to begin the process, plugging in the monitor helped me understand it in no time.
The viewing is not too good for digital devices, rather analogue types are acceptable.
