In addition to this item, I bought the mounting bracket which clips onto the hood or trunk lip. was looking for something better than what I bought at a local electronics store that everyone had heard about but was not that great and also easily visible, so I decided on this one as it was low-profile and I'm sure the rest of you have heard of it too. With the scanner hooked up, I just put it up in the back hatch and let it go. With respect to the performance, I will be taking over all public safety departments. This hangs above the hatch and I just have its signal for these stations and other stations I didn't pick up before. The simplest way I can pick up 50 to 60 cents is to leave it inside the car by the rear left window I would have 80 percent of the radio traffic if I had it on top of the building.
They work as good as bigger ones, and no interference is noticeable.
Although it was slightly smaller than I expected, I really like the sleek look of this product after installing it. Quite clear and good at picking up radio traffic.
As soon as I received it, the item was broken.
Since I don't recall ever working with two-way radios and RF systems, I didn't believe that this would There was no such thing. Only 800 MHz or T-band is available unless you only want to listen to them You are wasting your money if you buy UHF. NOAA's local weather frequencies were not even picked up by the device.
I am very pleased with it.
I really like it.
