Hello, the Sony Clock radio requires 120V AC power to operate. It can't be plugged into a 220 volt outlet.
I have the same stereo and have loved it since the day I received it. I recently purchased the new iPhone 6, and it has performed flawlessly. Everything is exactly the same as it was when I first got my 5s. It's compatible with the remote, the sound, and the connection. This is a system that I strongly recommend.

That's all it did for me: it replaced my Phillips small iPhone 4 charger/speaker, which I keep by my bedside. Charge up and say something. It's no problem for me. Those Phillips charger speakers were one of my favorites, and I had two sizes (a total of three)! Unfortunately, the only Phillips I could find for my iPhone 5 was a bigger one. This is much larger than I require for a bedside table, but the measurements are more accurate. br>br>The sound quality is excellent (for what it is), far superior to any previous cheapo clock radio. br>br>I had to consult the manual to figure out all of the features. I doubt I'll ever use the alarm; just setting the time took some effort, and there are twenty-two buttons on the device. One of those acts as if it were two, striking one side for one thing and the other for another. It's a colossal knob. (The one you'd slap to get it to stop talking and go back to sleep. ) For a short period of time. )br>br>Perhaps having two wake-up times is useful for someone who wants to set different wake-up times for different days of the week. Alternatively, you could do it once or twice a day. I don't believe it can be used by two people at the same time because it can only be in one location at a time. _)br>br>It's a good product, and I'll keep the manual in my nightstand. br> UPDATE FEB 11th, 2015 br>Downgrading to three stars. I've had to refer to that "manual" (a large sheet of paper with numerous complex instructions strewn across it) several times. I was so proud of myself once I had the stations programmed! Then a power outage occurred. IF YOU USE THE RADIO, DO NOT UNPLUG IT FOR ANY REASON. I will say that it uplinks to a satellite time so that when power is restored, it automatically sets the time. The alarm currently sounds once a week, in the middle of the day. I'm stumped as to how to put a stop to it. I HOPE THERE IS SOMETHING BETTER, SMALLER, AND SIMPLER ON THE MARKET RIGHT NOW, and I don't need to read this review.
I use it as a docking station for my iPhone, which keeps it charged at all times. It boosts the volume of whatever I'm playing on my iPhone, whether it's music or a voice message. The sound is clear and loud, and there is a bright digital clock that is a nice addition to the room. This seller did not have a remote to go with it, but he was very upfront about it and made sure I was aware of it before I completed the transaction, which I greatly appreciated. I had the remote from a previous version of this product, and it still works fine.
Overall, the quality is outstanding. Features: br>br> br>I found a lot of these features to be extremely useful. There were two alarm clocks, as well as a dimmer that dimmed to a very low level. I liked that there were dedicated buttons for these things because I've had alarm clocks with only a few buttons that did different things depending on how you pressed them. The docking station, on the other hand, did an excellent job of repairing it. sound and structure: br>br> br>The sound quality is good for the price, and unlike some other speakers, it does not'static' or degrade the sound quality as it gets louder. br>br>The device is well-made and does not have a flimsy feel to it. The speaker grill is made of metal, while the rest is made of a tough, well-attached plastic. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. The buttons, too, are made of plastic and are of a very high quality. end. case compatibility: br>br>case compatibility: br>br>case compatibility: br>br> br>The lightning port swings forward and is rotated back by a small spring. This enables cases to be worn on the phone while still resting on the speaker grill rest. I have the Lifeproof NUUD for my iPhone 5c and it is very nice. br>br>I have the Lifeproof NUUD for my iPhone 5c and it is very nice. When I try to dock it, the port cover that swings back on the case collides with the bottom of the clock extension. I've ordered a $5 extender to prevent this from happening, but it's otherwise compatible with almost anything. Final thoughts: br>br> br>I was torn between this and a couple of less expensive docking stations, but I'm glad I went with this one. 10-minutes of your time It was a wise decision to pay an extra $30 for this. In this case, a little more money will make you extremely happy!.
To begin with, the positive: It has a very attractive appearance. It's a little big, but that's not an issue for me. The sound quality is excellent, both for listening to the radio and for using the iPhone. There are many options available. The disadvantages: br>br> The controls are extremely non-functional in my opinion. I'm sure I'll pick them up eventually, but having to look things up over and over is inconvenient. In addition, the user instructions are printed on a single large sheet that is folded like a giant map. If the instructions must be consulted frequently, why not print a small stapled booklet? br>br>However, the most irritating aspect of the deal for me is that the remote's "menu" button (which is supposed to return you to the previous menu) and the up/down arrow buttons (which are supposed to navigate said menus) do nothing. I contacted a tech representative via chat, who was completely ineffective. He kept telling me that I needed to replace the remote's battery. I don't have any lithium batteries, and this is a brand-new device with a brand-new battery. After dealing with this guy for half an hour (much of which was taken up with five minutes to respond with "OK" or "alright" in response to anything I typed, followed by the suggestion that I replace the battery, even after I told him I didn't have one), I finally called and spoke with someone who is sending me a shipping label (which has yet to arrive over 12 hours late). I would if returning the entire thing to Amazon wasn't so difficult. It's also inconvenient that they won't send out a replacement remote (which is probably only $5 to make) until they receive the old one. br>br>I haven't seen any other reviews that mention issues with the remote, so it's possible I just got a lemon. Instead of navigating with the remote, I have to tap on the screen of my iPhone (which is an iPhone 5 with the most recent updates) to select my music. If you want to use the included app, you'll have to do some more tapping. br>br>Overall, I'm a little disappointed. The sound system, on the other hand, is excellent, and with some practice, it should become easier to operate. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The replacement remote arrived, and it works (or doesn't work) exactly like the original. These buttons are supposed to do something, according to the instructions, which I double-checked. So either there's an issue with the documentation or there's an issue with my unit. I'll follow up with Sony (they included a phone number in the remote) and provide an update once I've spoken with someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
