Questions & Answers

It is unclear to me what the difference between the plus and the ultra is. Do you think the sound has improved all that much?

With BT v4 and an IPX5 water resistant design, the 10W Plus with BT v4 and the 14W Ultra with BT v4 are exactly the same. There is a battery capacity of 2, 20 hours, and IPX6 water resistance. *btw, I believe they have the same battery(s), but the Ultra's higher power consumes it faster... I believe everything else is similar except that the Ultra sound is louder.

Recently, one of my new speakers has been jiggling around inside, and ever since I bought it, it sounds as if something is inside it. Is this What do I need to do to open it?

I did try the solution for opening up a MyBook that was suggested here after dropping one of my own and hearing that irritating rattling inside. It was simple to do, and now it is To remove the on/off/volume buttons, you have to take off the screws on the side where the on/off/volume buttons are located, pry the rubber off the two covered screws, and take the four exposed screws out. When the top of the case lifts off, the broken battery bracket will be revealed. Adhesive and fixed in a crazy way. It's time to put an end to the

The device is powered by a wall outlet, right?

According to the manufacturer, this speaker (OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA) requires a DC (direct current) electricity feed with a voltage of 5V and a phase of The following 0A to 2 sentences make up this section. The maximum is 4A (maximum). Therefore, you can use any USB charging port compatible with your PC or a USB "wall charger" that is compliant with it. The charging cable on the device (included) is simply used to connect the USB A plug (larger head/connector) to a USB wall charger, etc.) and plug the micro USB end (smaller USB plug/head) into the speaker power connection (found on speaker under the long rubber cover near the top, if speaker is stood vertically). Here's something you might not have known When shipped, the speaker is partly charged and should take about 1 hour to reach full charge (you can continue using it while it charges). No, the Angle 3 Ultra does not come with a remote. However, it does pair with your Bluetooth device, so you can control it with the

Review of Oontz Plus (& comparison with Long Thorough Review) for Regular People Here's a picture of the water test & a water test! The following update was posted on Oct
5/5

26, 20 The listing for this appeared to be still up, so I apologize for the late notice. Even after nearly three years, the speaker still works well. There have been no hard drops, but there has been plenty of play at home, at the beach (sand all over it), and when There is only one 'issue' that I can identify the bass can be distorted when playing loud, almost like the speakers got loose. Despite its low price and poor quality, I still think it's an excellent speaker. The *br- I reviewed the original book in the following way Here's a TEASER You can use the water test and picture to check if the IPX6 rating is accurate You may find this review lengthy and in-depth, but not too technical, to allow you to make a decision. The first speaker I got from Oontz, the Angle 3 Plus, got a lot of attention in my first post, and I'd like to thank everyone for their positive feedback. This will be my format for the rest of this post, comparing these two speakers in the hope it will help My obvious love for the Oontz speaker led me to purchase all of the products in the Oontz line. After having many fairly uninspiring Bluetooth speakers, I basically bought into the Oontz brand. The BT speaker market is full of both cheap and expensive candidates, some cheap models are really good for the money, and some expensive models do not live up to expectations based on price and are likely to be inflated based on My opinion is that Oontz is a perfect value for money ratio (since I'm a nerd who does research, gives quantitative ratings to the features I like, and creates a value ratio) I'm no expert in audio, but understand what we're doing Having worked in the beauty / cosmetics industry, in brand management (marketing), I am aware of "lipstick on a pig" and plain marketing fluff It is clear that this company does not engage in marketing Several things make this company stand out, but mainly, it's an American company (which matters to me may not to others), and it seems to be focusing on quality products rather than I love music like you do, but 80% of the time I listen passively and don't pay attention to how the sound spreads throughout the room. Comparing this speaker to the Oontz Plus, this is better from both a passive and active listening perspective. With it, you'll be able to play songs across a broad range of genres Listen to classic country, synthpop, britpop, industrial, a lot of classical, 80's, indie, and way too much kid's stuff (Moana, etc. Are you a fan of the movie Frozen? The Unboxing - The cardboard is basic, but it is very I did not wrap it in tchotchkes or fancy wrapping. What I'd like to see is that. does not feel like you're opening a gift, which means you did not pay for all the extra goods. The *br- In a nutshell The Angle Plus is the same. The sides of the case are rubberized. Compared to the previous Angle Plus, this feels heavier by a little bit. This Ultra looks like it will last as long as my Plus, which survived camping, beach trips, picnics, and throwings by my kids. The quality of this Ultra seems to be the same as its Plus counterpart. The *br- Provided with your standard micro-sd card There is one USB cable and three USBs. A cable that connects male to male has a 5mm diameter. This works, but I use my personal aux cable because I think it's The *br- I couldn't believe it The Angle Plus has a similar look and feel to this. Just bought a higher priced twin! I'd forgotten that this was a twin! Concerned, I began to worry. It was only afterwards when I put them side by side and hit "play" that I became happy. Pairings
- No need to say anything. The only thing you've paired in your life is yourself. That's all there is to it. It paired with both an iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S6 without any delay or issue, and didn't disconnect within the regular range The range is controlled by the control / range system Unlike the Angle Plus, these controls are much more intuitive. It is evident from my pictures (Plus on left, Ultra on right) that the Plus has harder to see buttons, and an even more frustrating (almost impossible to see) small and hard to see The lights on the Plus are visible on my picture due to some auto-focusing on the camera Real life was better than the theory, but it didn't work out well. Despite its clarity and brightness, Ultra is a very bright and clear device. Some may not be able to keep it on their nightstand if they keep it on their nightstand You should stand by the light of the moon A volume and skip button is now included on the Ultra, whereas there was none on the Plus. In addition, while I am not blind, my favorite part of the Ultra is being able to feel the higher raised symbols as opposed to the relatively flat buttons on As a result, I find this to be very useful when the lighting is low, so I can easily The *br- There are three USB ports and three There is a slightly recessed 5mm jack on the back of the device. Should you be thinking of having a 3° L angle, you should take notice of this. Because I was not able to completely plug it in with the 5mm jack, I chose to use a USB. The *br- On the Ultra, you can access the jack and usb by using a door that is even better than on the In the Ultra, it appears as though the flap has a metal insert, which makes it nice and rigid and easier to open and close, whereas on the Plus, the flap just had Can you see the attention to detail these Oontz folks have? The *br- When it comes to range, I live in a prewar building, which has very solid walls, which are fine except for when you want to use wifi or Bluetooth while traveling. In my testing, I was able to control the speaker with my phone from at least 30 feet away and with three corners between both sides (i. e. The hallways and bedrooms are positioned in this way). Although controls worked, sound started skipping once they were approximately 40 feet from the server. The fact that my walls are so thick makes this even more impressive. According to my observations, the performance is also the same as that of the Plus. I HEAR SOUNDS
- I am amazed! The *br- Having said that, I'm going to say more. Total power consumption for the plus is 14W, and that is 4W more than the ultra. You are not alone if you are not sure what that means in terms of performance. The math was done and it would be X% more power. However, it was not until I heard it that I realized the sound was significantly better than the percentage suggests! The *br- There is a lot of bass here, and that's the thing that stands out the most. The bass player in me is far from the bass player As a matter of fact, I usually listen via a great studio monitor over-the-ear A relatively flat soundstage is characteristic of in-ear headphones. Nonetheless, this was a lot of Even with the bass present, the rest of the range was not muddied. There were some issues with the mids/highs for me, but not to the point that they were distorted. Comparatively to the Plus, the music played (without the calories) sounded richer, yummier, and more chocolatey. The *br- There are spongey pads on the bottom that look as if they're air filled A cushioned seat. Although there's a good chance the pads of my other speaker just got worn out, this seems to be an improvement especially with the heavy bass, it may keep it from dancing If you are using the speaker in a narrow space, you can stand it up as well. The *br- Here's a tip Don't be afraid to use your EQ! Computers, phones, Spotify, and anything else that has an equalizer really should be used so that levels can be set right. It's fine to turn it down (like when I get tired of hearing "How Far I'll Go" from the Moana soundtrack)
- If I'm not in the mood for so much bass, I can turn it down. I see a flaw here! The thought came to mind! The volume is going to be terrible when I turn up the bass. The first thing I did was turn up Plus. . . and it seemed just to get I turned around to see my wife giving me a dirty look as if to say "Turn that off". In a matter of seconds I turned up the Ultra and she began dancing (Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" if this is of interest to you). I was surprised by how clear it was even at maximum volume. It was also quite The *br- Would you believe I really love (love me? the Ultra goes above and beyond. The *br- The sound of the explosion could be heard throughout my house. . . . Granted, I live in a 1500 sq ft prewar, but the concept is still the same In a "normal" house in the United States, it may not fill your entire house due to the war. Here are some advantages to living in one of those tiny NYC apartments. . . A single speaker is all that is WASHER-DRY - WATERPROOF THE NESTS, THE USES, AND THE The *br- This device is very versatile because of its size and features! (See measurement photo)* As soon as I connected it to my Echo Tap (the kids will keep the Plus, while I'll take the Ultra), it worked perfectly! The quality is clearly MUCH better than I was getting from my full-size This is the size of Amazon Make sure you keep it quite a distance away from your Echo, and away from the wall a bit, or the Echo won't hear you very well from the interference and the echo being The *br- The IPX6 protocol How does it relate to your life? I think it is really important to understand this before you embark on a diving adventure. In the first number, particles (dust or sand) are listed. In the second number, water is listed. There is an X indicating it was not tested for dust/sand protection, and the 6 means it's waterproof, or to quote the IP standard "Powerful No harmful effects are expected from 5mm nozzle) projected against the enclosure from any direction. There is a time limit on the test During a 3-minute application, walk around the square meter for one minute. The basic version of the test is to hold it under a faucet for a few minutes, as seen in the picture. That's correct, it still works. Although I don't plan to hold it while I shower, its nice to know that I could get water all over it if I were by a pool/lake or if my kids spilt I have not yet tested the following

THINGS I HAVE NOT tried- Have not yet let it drain completely, but it according to Oontz that the battery lasts 20 hours. So I believe them because I've used my Plus (rated at 30hrs) on camping trips without needing to recharge it. The *br- The following modes are available in dual speaker mode A 2nd Ultra speaker appears to be able to be paired with this. As far as I know, this is the only one I have. The *br- You will be able to make the following phone calls Since I have kids, I don't use a Bluetooth speaker because I know it can be done. Item text TL I know *THE GOOD* - Good sound. We advise you to apply an EQ to adjust sound to your liking, particularly for the higher frequencies or to tone down the bass. A loud voice that is clear and undistorted even when loud*- I will update when the battery runs out (I'll post the status when it runs out)
- The IPX6 rating protects from water ingress
A bluetooth and power light that is brighter than before, but can make your bedroom more bright if you sleep close to I AM THE There are none! If I had to pick a feature, perhaps I would like a battery level indicator, so I can know how much is left, but that's really no help since I can just check the battery level manually The picking process. OontZ is currently the best portable speaker on the market
5/5

OontZ is currently the best portable speaker on the market. A couple years ago, I bought an OontZ Angle Plus speaker. I also owned the Angle 3 as it was one of the best speakers at the time ($50)
I've also owned a pair of B&O speakers. My first Angle 3 was problematic and it was not until I got my third Angle 3 that everything began to work. I had only one complaint the battery life was too short. Almost as if they were listening to my concerns, OontZ came out with the Angle 3 Plus with a larger They not only improved the battery life, but also gave it a sleeker housing and made it The bass was balanced out by keeping it grounded by adding some weight to it. Unlike the Original Angle 3, this one is too light and bounces around too much with heavy bass, which makes it very difficult for the bass to come through. Approximately one month ago, my Angle 3 Plus was stolen. Using the same account, I saw that this one was available when I went back to order a new one. This was a purchase I did not hesitate to make. There is no point in wasting money on this. I love the sound of this. This is far superior to the Angle 3 by a long shot and also far superior to There is also a noticeable difference in volume and weight when compared to the 3 Plus. It has a nice and clear high end, and the bass is faithful to the original. For these small speakers and passive subwoofers, it's always a good idea to set them anywhere on a hollow surface (such as a cabinet). As a result of resonation, it always strengthens the bass. In addition to the range of Bluetooth, they improved every single aspect of the device. The signal doesn't stop far from it and I can walk very far away from it. Any other speaker I've used cuts off at around 25ft. This one is still impressively loud and plays well even at that distance. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great Bluetooth speaker at an affordable price that rivals even the big-name brands. It is too early to tell how long the battery will last since I have not yet depleted it completely. As soon as I have gotten some more usage out of it, I will update. This is an update on Battery Life Compared to other headphones, this one seems to last about 10 hours with the volume set at max, so it is really good so far. According to them, it would take 20 hours for the first third of volume, and I believe that is certainly feasible. It's still running clear and loud.
