Questions & Answers

5th generation iPod nano To listen to live radio, you'll need to plug in your headphones. Will I be able to broadcast live from these speakers?

Hello Rebecca, I'm currently deployed, so please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. To be honest with you I am 100% not sure. However, it should work in theory if you use the included accessory cable, but I doubt the radio will work if you use the docking option because the radio function on the iPod requires the headphone cable or any other cable to be plugged into the jack to act as an antenna to receive radio signals. It's a charming little speaker with a pleasant sound. I sincerely hope that I was of assistance.

Is this something that Nano can do?

Depending on which Nano you have, this unit will work with older iPod and iPhone models with 30 pin connectors. If you have a new iPhone or iPod that has the 8 pin or "lightning" connector (i.e. You'll need an adapter if you have an iPhone 5. When I upgraded, I bought a Bluetooth adapter and have had no issues with it.

Is this also compatible with the iPhone 5?

No, it won't work with the Apple plug, but you can get an aux cord and connect it that way.

Is it pleasant to listen to outside?

This is fantastic! This individual is a fantastic public speaker. It has a clear, beautiful sound that can be heard both inside and out; don't miss out on this opportunity.

This is an excellent purchase
5/5

I used my wife's Amazon account to purchase this docking station for use while deployed to Iraq (smart, right?). It's surprisingly light and slim, especially given the sound's fullness, crispness, and volume. I haven't been let down, especially considering the price. br>br>Features that I particularly enjoy:br>1. Dual voltage is ideal for traveling internationally.
2. The power adapter is included in the package.
3. AUX- The ability to plug into my laptop for movies has been extremely useful.
4. They got rid of the iPod inserts, and the design cleverly allows whatever iPod you put in to rest against a back stop, preventing the connector from being stressed when you press on the iPod to control it.
5. The remote is basic in terms of features, but it performs admirably even when not pointed directly at the unit. br>br>Options for improvement:
1. The carry case is more of a dust cover than a carry case. It's made of the same stuff that the re-useables are made of. These are the materials that are used to make reusable grocery bags. At this price, I'm not complaining that it doesn't come with something more substantial, but I do hope that Logitech or another manufacturer produces something with padding for those of us who travel frequently. As an accessory, I'd be delighted to buy it.
2. The AC adapter would be even better if the prongs could be folded in like many travel adapters.
3. You can't use an iPod touch if it's protected by a case. The docking area gets narrower as you get closer to the bottom, making width an issue. even in cases that are too small to fit. This simply means you'll need a case with a detachable bottom or one that comes off easily. br>br>I give this a five-star rating overall. Based on early industry reviews (CNET, etc. ) and features, I waited about a month and a half for this to be released. I haven't been let down. The audio quality is outstanding. It can be taken with you. It appears to be in good condition. It is not overly costly, and all of these factors combine to make it a true winner. I have an original Bose Sound Dock and believe that the sound quality is superior on that speaker system- It has a bit more bass and fills the room a little better, but it costs twice as much and isn't portable. I defy anyone to find a better-quality, more versatile item for $150 or less.

At a moderate volume level, the speakers "clip
3/5

" It was a waste of $100. 00! Let me start by saying that I'm not one of those people who enjoys punishingly loud music, and I'm also aware of the speaker's volume limitations. This dock, on the other hand, is ridiculous. When the volume of the speakers exceeds approx. 30% of their capacity is used for other purposes. WTF? Granted, I bought it secondhand as "very good," and it was ok for the first month. Clipping at low volumes, on the other hand, is completely unacceptable. I have never, ever (or by accident) turned up the volume high enough to cause the kind of damage that would allow this to happen. Keep your distance, people.

For older Ipod Touches, this docking station with speakers is fantastic! I have a third-generation 64-gigabyte Ipod Touch that still works great and has all of my music from vinyl and CD sources
5/5

My old Ihome docking station/clock radio recently stopped working, leaving me with the option of purchasing a new 64-gigabyte Ipod or attempting to locate a replacement docking station for my old Ipod. Unfortunately, 30 pin docking stations are no longer manufactured. Fortunately, I was able to locate this Logitech S715i on Amazon in "like new" condition. It's exactly what I'm looking for! The sound quality is excellent, the remote is flawless, it looks impressive, and best of all, it has extended the life of my Ipod. It's an excellent piece of audio gear.

Sound is incredible, and the price is unbeatable
5/5

I was addicted to magazines like Stereo Review and Audiophile back when audio equipment was king; long before Plasma Televisions and Smart Phones, state-of-the-art audio equipment was the make and measure of in-home entertainment. Polk, Macintosh, Klipsch, Luxman, Celestial, and Yamaha are among the legendary manufacturers whose separate components I still have. Those massive over-sized units have been in storage for years. Along with my other components, my Polk RT11 80-pound tower speakers (the first with digital tweeters) are wrapped in plastic. But even now, seeing them all wrapped up so neatly - That old stereo is still making me happy. My better half refused to let me set up my big clunky outdated stereo when we moved into a new house a few years ago. They could be bulky and unwieldy. After sifting through a bewildering array of mp3, I settled on the ipod Classic 160 GB. We use two different docking stations, one of which is the iTower, which is fantastic. But the Logitech S715i is by far the most popular, with many reviewers comparing it to the Bose 700 series docking station - as CNET has pointed out. br>br>The Logitech comes close to creating true stereo imaging, but at a fraction of the cost. br>br> Is the sound quality comparable to that of a high-end stereo system? Of course not. br>br> br>br>However, the high notes are crisp, and the bass, while not booming, provides a deep layer of warm lower tones. br>I am in awe of technology. Quick Specs: br>br> br>br>* laser-cutting br>br>* laser-cutting br>br> neodymium tweetersbr>br>* 4 base speakersbr>br>* 8 hour battery lifebr>br>* Remotebr>br>* 2 year warrantybr>br>* Carrying casebr>br>* Tray free docking The Logitech S715i is an incredible value and the sound is more than adequate, in fact, it's quite impressive. br>br>There are no adapters requiredbr>br> For only $99 dollars on Amazon, this is a great deal. It's also Prime-eligible, meaning you get free two-day shipping. You can't go wrong with the Logitech S715i if you're looking for a reliable performer with a lot to offer.
