You should ask the manufacturer for an answer to this question. But for me it is more a matter of overcharging Like some lithium batteries, these batteries are becoming outdated and shortening their lifespans. In order to prevent overcharging, I charged it until it is fully charged first, then disconnect and recharge only if the juice is totally or one dot low.

This is only possible if you understand how to work with plastics and want your echo show 5 to be mobile. When you modify it a bit with a little heat, it can be plugged in. I won't blame you if you damage the battery base of your nice dot 3 battery. I am unsure how long the battery will last, but it appears to.

It was seven months ago today, I walked into my office to hear this loud Louder and louder as it goes. To check, I went over to my Echo Dot and unplugged it immediately.
