Bose SoundDock Series II 30-Pin iPod/iPhone Speaker Dock (Silver)

Many of the criticisms of Bose gear stem from confusion over what the company is trying to achieve. Using Bose stuff for Audiophile use is hardly similar to using it for Casual Listening, as most of it is geared toward the second category. My general preferences when casually listening to music are that it FEEL loud and full, but I want to still be able to hear things In order to have a conversation, I want the music turned down if the music is noisy. In order to achieve this, Bose combines EQ curves with uneven slopes. It has a sizzle effect, the mids are dipped, reducing noise in the range of human voices, and the bass is made to sound absolutely amazing for such small speakers, by using resonances that make it difficult to tell what pitch it is. The background music on this is exactly what I want to have when I have a few friends over, and it sounds absolutely fantastic. There is a great sense of crispness and fullness to the music, which gets loud without sounding unbearable.

However, when I put on my audiophile hat and shut the thing off, I realized that it wasn't designed for this usage. It's fine if that's what you want! If I am alone and listening to music, my audiophile gear helps me lose myself in the music as well as make my instruments sound great. Obviously, this gear makes me want to hear it all the time. This fills up the entire audio spectrum and I have to turn it down to half the level of a Bose system if I want to talk with anyone. It probably isn't the best choice if you want something for casual listening, but if what YOU want is this, I think that it is the best.

It did not come with a remote, and when I contacted the seller, they replied that it was written on the description that there was no remote. It is clearly written on the box that it is a remote. Radio capability is not a deal breaker, but the unit does not have one. I would really like to be able to control it without requiring a remote control. However, the sound quality is excellent and it seems to work well. Do not buy from these guys as they seem to be foreign and not very honest or upstanding.

The Bose iPod dock, which we'd had for about 12 years, stopped working, and I was disappointed to find it was no longer available from the company. It is no secret that most people listen to music on their phones, but I still use an iPod and the Bose dock had some really The fact that I could order one from Amazon, through a second party, but it was a used one, got me very happy and somewhat leery at the same time. Orders were placed with a lot of breath holding. I am delighted to report that we got the package quickly, and it is great! I feel brand new when I hear that! Although I don't remember who the seller was, they really delivered, and I provide them with my highest recommendation.

It has been such a pleasure to own my "new" Bose speaker/dock system for my iPhone. Ten years after the purchase of my Bose system, it broke down and I later discovered that it is no longer manufactured. The used system I bought was great, even though it's a little different from my original, but I figured it out and am so happy with it. Having a passion for music is what makes me happy. I enjoy listening to it because it makes me forget about the world and makes me enjoy my life. The dock and speaker are especially important because I can hear it all over my house, especially when I'm cleaning the kitchen or doing other household chores Making it easier is made easier with music. My sincere thanks go out to you for taking such good care of this product for me.

This seller made sure to include detailed instructions on how to use this system and all the included accessories as well. The seller included various useful adapters and a Bluetooth adapter. I am so amazed by the customer service and how the seller went the extra mile to make my experience great. One more thing, even the remote is enclosed in plastic, which I greatly appreciate. My most favorite part of the system is actually the v-shaped sound profile, which has a lot of bass. If you like that then I think you will love it too.

Since I doubt Bose makes them anymore, I had to find a used speaker / charger to use in my studio with my 2008 iPod Nano. I had to find a used speaker in order to charge the iPod and use it. A new Bose would be impossible for me to afford. You are doing a wonderful job here! I like the way it looks, the remote was enclosed in plastic and worked well, and the sound is fantastic! The new speakers have made me realize what I was missing from my previous set, and I could not be happier.

The monitor finally stopped working after 6 years after we slowly stopped using it. Maybe my expectations for the lifespan of electronics are too high, but this was a slowly degrading device. There were several things that were annoying, including how incredibly sensitive the audio connection was and how poorly it affected the sound even if you wiggled it very slightly. It was necessary for us who used it to move the cable to the right spot for the sound to start and if you touched it again, it would stop. Using a brand new cable caused the exact same problem, so I know it's not an issue with the cable. Neither last week nor today did I get any sound out of the player no matter how much I wiggled the cable. I mourn the loss of the I hate it.

Our second Bose SoundDock, two things I dislike about this one are 1) only supports music from I phones when it is plugged in, and 2) unlike my previous Bose it does not have a carrying handle on the back. With that said, still.
