Yes, I understand. There is a N123 in front of it. For those who own a cell phone, I sell one that has a Bluetooth Adapter so that you can use it wirelessly. Your kindness, Annil, is much appreciated.
There are 30 pins on the charger, so it charges iPods, iPhones such as the iPhone 4s. batteries that are already dead (does not work, does not charge), so you can unplug them and use without removing them from the charger. It only serves as a cover for the back of the device. Units of white color are offered by me. As well as black units with dead batteries, I have black units with dead batteries. I found the Bose SoundDock portable to be a really nice niche product. Here in Florida, we spend a lot of time at the pool. A swimming pool does not have much AC power so portable audio devices are a must. This also makes it difficult to play my songs on the radio when no station plays them. )
Only one person can use headphones with a portable device. There's something about CDs that just don't work. The number of songs per CD is too low, and if you want to put a couple of thousand songs
on CDs, that is quite a hassle. In short, MP3 players are what it comes down to. The iPod I have is a great device. This amp/speakers is designed for MP3 players, but any MP3 player will work. It has the added advantage of being controlled by the Remote Control that comes with it, and it may sound more natural, since you have to connect the headphone out to the Aux input of the SoundDock in order to hook up a foreign MP3 player. In contrast, a real iPod will use the data plug for a real line-in connection. In my opinion, Bose made a good move with this. In a recent redesign, they added a Hefty Li-ion battery to their SoundDock II It runs on battery power. I can play this at medium volume for 4 or 5 hours at a time. (And by the way, this thing is charging the iPod battery at the same )

I am very pleased with the sound. This is a very portable device. Yes, they are expensive. Although it is much less expensive than similar models, it has significantly better sound quality.
As you might expect from Bose, this produces great sound. for my wife as a gift. It isn't cheap, but it provides fantastic sound and is portable, so we take it to the pool or outside to the grill when there are nice weather conditions.
