Questions & Answers

Does anyone know of a good bluetooth headphone to use for this?

There are many different Bluetooth Headphones preferences among people. The Sony WH-100 is the camera I personally use This device can be used with the 1000X M3 (NW-) This is a great sounding pair (A55)

Are you able to use it with Media Go?

Media Go generally supports FLAC and MQA files except that APE and MQA format are not supported (MQA files will be displayed as

When using it via Bluetooth, is it possible to control the volume? The A45 was returned to me because it had no volume control while using it in Bluetooth. ?

There is a volume control on the 45 as well as the 55. By checking "Use Enhanced Mode" you can use enhanced features. The volume will then be able to be controlled.

What is Sony's reason for not even listing an NW-based console? What does their website look like on a 55-inch screen?

You can find listings for other countries by clicking on the links. United States consumers have not yet been able to purchase the N55 directly. Sony does not list it on its US site for this reason.

Selected User Reviews For Sony NW-A55 16GB High-Resolution Digital Music Player Walkman Moonlit Blue(International Version/Seller Warranty)

The other one is the one you should buy if you absolutely have to have it
3/5

Getting started is the first step. It is the Sony NW-70 As far as I am concerned, A55 is the worst offender of the misleading advertising I have seen in the music player industry. that NW-related indicators do not entirely match up with the NW-related indicators There will be a review of A45. At this price point, the 55 is advertised as delivering a high definition music player with new construction to deliver an audio experience that has never been seen before in this market. Top carrying bag - Here's the - Here we have the first mark of observation, the line. -

Installation It is similar to a classic iPod 55 except the 55 feels less durable. As such, it is rated as a 4/10. There is a lot of light in this device, which can be a good thing, but the device feels fragile due to the thin build. The SD card slot is a weak point, definitely contributing to the feeling of fragility. In cases where the device is not IP rated, the slot should be more robust. I feel like the buttons on the device, while the plastic and notches make me feel like it was recycled It is true- Top and bottom panels of the same color. Although the screen itself has some slight gaps of varied sizes on the corners where it does not quite fit in the space (it's probably a minor expense but this device cuts so many corners that it's clearly not an option). Furthermore, the device bears a poor ergonomic design, which causes it to feel unnatural. It is essential that the case you choose covers the buttons so that you can hide the general feel of this product. Next, you need to consider function. Having said that, I would rate this device a 5/10 for sheer performance it is about as efficient as my $20 Bluetooth FM transmitter. A significant improvement can be seen in the software area, which is the With usage of this equipment, it boasts the best sound quality arguably available on the market thanks to the use of new techniques. I'm fine with it. In my experience, it doesn't produce anything noteworthy over my Essential Phone, which I use as a backup A set-up MP3 player is needed. The fact that my phone and most flagships are capable of that level of clarity made me curious as to why and, after some digging, I found that the right XMP file can produce the same level of clarity. Having to laugh at this part is a ten out of ten. I had two instances in which the device froze when I tried turning on the high quality settings right out of the box. This is the more expensive version of the 45 which is said to be faster, yet the UI was still clunky. When that's superior to this, I can only imagine how bad it must be. They must have lied, unless they told the truth. I am not going to stake a claim on it because they would be breaking the law if they lied. It is suffice to say that all the settings were on and I did not notice any I noticed a slight improvement over the default, but it was not enough to justify upgrading from It is not an issue for me at all since I am using $200+ headphones. My experience at the end of this journey led me to the following conclusions (TLDR) I cannot see how this device would justify the $70 price tag since it does not provide substantially more features than the 45. In any case. I'm doing well. If you want a CD with Res songs (on all the sites Sony has selected for you), it will cost you $25. The functionality of many features can only be accessed if you use Sony headphones (see the trend? ). I can imagine that some people might not like the fact that you must be plugged in, the screen must be off, and many settings disabled in order to get a good battery life. But hey, at least you can put music on the device.

The price was way too high
3/5

As an ex-Walkman who walked away from the brand over a decade ago, I was thrilled to add another to the collection. When I listen to music for long periods of time, my phone's battery quickly runs out. In addition to other features, Sony boasted about the battery life of this unit, so I thought that it might be worth a try. A serious mistake was made. I have not used the battery in a couple of days, but they only last a couple of days. There are many times when it lists the same track dozens of times, it does not show half my music and certain artists it doesn't show. There is a bit of laggy response from the screen and you cannot really use it with your fingertips. MP3 players costing $20 would be a far cry from this device. My bluetooth headphones produce the same quality of sound as my phone, so the sound quality isn't any better. As for me, I don't see how this would be a selling.

This is outstanding! In spite of the big box in which it arrived, this device allowed for Internet downloading from Windows Media player immediately after being charged up
5/5

Especially when paired with either the Sony M3 headphones or the Sony xb31 portable speaker, the sound quality is excellent. My experience with the device has been very positive. It pairs with everything I have tried quickly. It is easy to read and navigate the screen. I was blown away by how well this worked out.

The player is beautiful
5/5

With this player, I can play vinyl as well as play other sources on vinyl recorded with my high quality audio system (Linn LP12, Benchmark ADC, DAC, First Watt preamp/amplifier, VinylStudio software) and record vinyl. So far I've only experience with DAPs through iPods and Pono players (I bought at least four Pono players for me and my family). There's a lot to like about the Pono, but its UI is not great, and its battery life is poor. In spite of that, I still enjoy it. In this Sony player, the user interface (and the player overall) are really beautiful and really work Even though I have only used the Music Center program a little, I found using it very easy. This player does not have Music Center, so I just dragged and dropped albums onto it. This was my first time formatting a micro SD card (I used a 128 GB card) and it was very easy to do. It is a great sound- Although initially I thought it was too harsh, it seems to be smoothing out more as I use it, and I think it is fairly close to the Pono, although I have not compared them directly. It was very intriguing to me to see a Sony player since I am very familiar with Sony products, and I am thrilled with the player, so glad I gave it a try.

It's OK, but she's back
3/5

While I also have an iPod nano, I actually prefer the walkman form factor over that of the current generation iPod. As a result of the solid materials, it has a greater heft. format and responsiveness of the interface are both fine. The sound quality was fine. I used the app with AAC, purchased AAC (from iTunes), and MPEG streams, and it came pre-configured with these. With one track each of high and low quality I'm not certain if there is a third track that is ALAC or AIFF format with the res formats FLAC and DSD. Due to lack of time, I am declining to provide a sound quality rating because I didn't test it in a lot of high-end environments It is a good idea to end headphones before returning them. In the same vein, you can test how long a battery will last. Voici what my gripes are There is really no good reason for the charging cable to be The only thing it does is make things more complicated. It was difficult to use the content management system. It's moot since Apple doesn't even support iTunes any longer. Currently, the iPod support iTunes is moot. This program does not support Apple Music, which means that dragging and dropping my 9K tracks from Apple Music, where they are stored, won't work. As well, when I tried to drag and drop supported files from MacOS Finder to the A55 using the Music Center App (for MacOS), I received an error message It was unable to open the file because of an unsupported file type. From the iTunes folder, I was able to drag and drop files directly onto my connected device within Citrix By that I mean that Music Center will not be used This meant that the A55 was able to decrypt and playback these I am returning the device and going to give the FiiO M11 a try, which I find to be better. As I understand it, the M11 is a radio-controlled weapon Without headphones, it is capable of running apps, it has a greater decoder versatility, it produces a more powerful sound, and it has more wired headphone connections. It should be noted that the M11 is generally not considered a direct competitor to the A55, but rather the Sony A105.
