Having contacted Gemini, the manufacturer, they told me to return the product to Amazon for a replacement. When trouble is encountered, no attempt is made to help. Take a picture. After getting the second one, I had no complaints until yesterday, when it suddenly stopped working My response time has increased to 60-70 seconds now. I will have to get an RMA and ship it in if this doesn't resolve itself within two days. The following is my You can get by with a cheap old used CD player and don't waste your money on this poorly made product.
The component we integrated into our PA sound system is of excellent quality, and it sounds great. My favorite part of this component is the fact that it allows me to play music files from a USB thumb drive and that it includes XLR connectors for both line-out and mic input. Although it seems somewhat expensive for a CD player, I may not be a fan.
Product works fine, but I don't have a tone control. If there's any way the manufacturer or someone else can tell me what I'm doing wrong, please feel free to reply. Apart from that, I am pleased with the product.
I cannot use the CD player because it keeps skipping (or going out of sync). When the music is imported via USB, it is played most of the time, but even that can be problematic at times. It isn't possible to get enough information out of the tiny screen. There is no way to adjust the volume with the remote, neither can you turn it on or off with it, that is unthinkable in Inside the unit, there is something rattling. There is a crackling static sound coming from the loud speakers when I hook up another rack PA device that is connected. This unit is not even worth $10, so stay away from it.
gives me the most concern about this product is that there seems to be no way to persistently set USB as the default mode for playback. The unit defaults to the following settings when power is cycled There are two unique limitations to this product * CD/disc mode* * Audio paused, waiting for a GO on cue 1* * We cannot use this product for automated, permanent playback installations without human intervention when power is interrupted. The power can be automatically turned off at night to stop playback and restored in the morning to resume (or, where the power is cut automatically at night to stop playback and resume in the morning). Lastly, if there is something I am doing wrong, I would appreciate it if you corrected me. Despite this, I still feel like my company's money was wasted.
I use it as a sound system for parties and other social gatherings where I have to run music for hours. It provides extra inputs, so I can always play music. I can also play all my CDs.
I found this to be very user friendly and has all the features I need.
It would be nice to have the option to play it randomly. For most of my usage, I use at home. The unit is exactly what I wanted. The game is rated 4 stars because there are no random features.
