With my player, I thought I was supposed to get a remote control, but it wasn't included.

A solid foundation
4/5

A MiniDisc player is the first piece of equipment I've ever bought. The one I own is the metallic green one shown in the picture. Though I have never seen the silver in person, I have seen the blue, and while you will be turned off by the thought of a green walkman, at least the green is more striking than the blue, which is flat and dull, not metallic like the green. There's something about the green which gives it a more expensive look, due to its lustrous sheen. In any event, I am largely satisfied with this product. The sound quality is great, but the volume could be improved to compensate better for noisy situations in cities. I have not used the headphones that come with it, and I wish there was a little more treble in the volume settings. Most of the controls are simple to use, and the build quality appears good. I like the MDLP mode. I use it (LP2) for double albums and adding extra remixes at the end of an album to ensure that the quality doesn't drop too much. The sound quality is still really good, and most people won't notice the difference. Moreover, the remote is a good touch, even if it feels a little cheap and doesn't have an LCD screen. It's rather clever how the lever is positioned. You will probably want to upgrade to a better model of remote, although I own the RM-E8000 The MZ-12 comes with the MC11EL, which I have There are some gripes I have with this toy, including the fact that the front of the device is aluminum, but the back is plastic, and the paint quickly wears off on the edges due to friction. I also noticed my unit could skipping from time to time, but I think the reason may either be due to dust on the heads or a defect in the You have to navigate through a menu system in order to access some commands, such as the bass controls. Last but not least, the battery it comes with is not the best. Though it gets the job done, you will want to upgrade the desktop software as well. I also like the optical mp3 thingee from Xitel, though I don't use it that much, since I use it mostly to dub my CDs that I own already Despite its small size, this is a powerful player that plays well and is much more convenient to carry around (in your pocket) than a big, cumbersome.

Getting rid of my Sony MD isn't an option
5/5

I have had the R700) for at least two years. You should definitely give it a try. It is a pleasure to listen to the audio - excellent Recording in LP2 mode is the best to me, and I cannot tell the difference in quality between it and recording in I like the size of the walkman This little gadget is small and portable and is easy to reach into your pocket and use. The recorder is very easy to operate - All you need is a microphone and a PC If you are using a SYNC RECORD method (connected to a digital output) it is important not to lose the sync. It is even possible to record from VHS tapes and from my old turntable (LPs) onto minidiscs, and the quality is wonderful. It is only the TMARK system of placing "markers" upon the disc that I have a complaint about. When combination or removal of markers is attempted, it can be a bit convoluted I had some difficulty mastering it at first. There are some basic editing functions you can do with markers, but you'll need to master the technology for it. As with Apple users, it is likely that you will be one of the few (but lucky) owners of a minidisc player or recorder. Minidiscs are great for sharing music. If you value sharing music, you should consider purchasing one. For example, if you wish to make mixed drinks Make a list of how many of your friends have a minidisc player, then think about how many of your friends have one. You can listen to music on your MD if you are simply looking for an excellent, portable device. A great feature to use is the PC connect - use this to communicate with the PC remotely With ease, I have transferred MP3 files from my computer to a minidisc. In order to get the tracks to play correctly in my MD player, I had to make a few adjustments to the audio settings on my Dell laptop. But that's more of a laptop issue than a problem with Sony MDs.
So, there you go. DO NOT hesitate to purchase an MD player/recorder if you are on the fence. I like this model a lot.

Don't forget to sock it to your iPods! will never understand why my ipod, which has stayed alive for the past 3 or 4 years, was not broken even when I knew all my friends had three or four iPods (most of them broken)
5/5

My iPod broke the next day. There was no way out for me! In finding this little gem I rediscovered a treasure trove of years earlier I remember my old minidisc player so well! This is a much underrated and beloved film. The model I own was bought about seven or eight Even though it's "obsolete", I still remember it. Although it has many pros, it is not without its downsides. Buying another ipod every time mine breaks is really my biggest regret in regards to the broken ipod. From what I can see, going through so much music will mean I'll always need another ipod By burning dozens of CDs and ripping them all back into my computer, I can save lots of time. Alternatively, I can take a mini-jack to mini-jack cable and connect it to any computer or audio source and grab what I need. That's not so hard, is it? There is research to prove that too much choice can make people unwell, anxious, and inefficient in the workplace --, although it seems far fetched. My stomach hurts! In my professional life, I am a robotic My ipod is always shuffled constantly by me, as I am constantly playing all the songs it contains 95 percent of the music on my music player is skipped. What the heck are the best songs to listen to? There are 4000+ songs on this online music store. I have too many choices! I have too many choices! There's no way I can deal with The purpose of music is to make you feel good! I had a minidisc that fixed everything! My discs were made with love, because I had limited space, and each disc is comprised of my personal favorites This is not an iTunes playlist put together in a matter of seconds. Is there anything else to look forward to? I don't have to replace the battery every million years like I had to replace the battery on As well as its convenient ability to accept regular batteries, it is a great tool for traveling. My heart just swelled with joy when I heard about this little machine. Tell the kids to give Apple all the money they can afford. It will be me scrambling around the train with discs in hand.
