It took me only a few days after receiving the MD player/recorder to know it was the right choice. The reason this format is not more heavily advertised is beyond me. You will find everything you need here. The sound quality, the versatility, the convenience, and did I mention the There are many options available, including moving, titling, deleting, and re-ordering tracks It is possible to record the discs as many times as you want. You can create groups of tracks and playback the groups instead of having to select each record individually. The player can fit in my shirt pocket (I can't put it in my pocket with the CD Don't waste your money on expensive CDs. Record your minidiscs instead. I really like the fact that it won't skip and that it has a very rugged disc. From what I've seen so far, it looks like it's all pluses. There is no such thing as perfection, but being able to upload MD tracks to my desktop computer would be nice. Prove to yourself I'm right. You are now on the Pick a unit after you've researched the site and educated yourself. Your decision will be a good one.
The item is stylish and great to look at, but I won't buy another. MD is very popular in Asia and other areas of the world, but I don't see why MD is a better solution than MP3 players, especially since MP3 players have become cheaper and cheaper each year? Once I owned two Sony MD players, but now I have gotten rid of all of them! You can get good sound quality only if you record the tracks in MD format and in real time. Otherwise, you'll get bad sound quality. This aspect has already been covered in a lot of reviews, and the Sony software also fails to comply with As a group, they make me think of old guys trying to enforce Consider getting yourself an MP3 player such as an iPod or some other kind of device.
I like the Minidisc unit, it is compact, lightweight, and feels pretty solid. My only complaint is that there is no back light, and the lcd/data screen is quite small, making it difficult to read the names of files. As far as the add-on items are concerned, all but those terrible headphones were I cannot go any further with my praise To transfer files from your computer to the MD, you have to use Sonicstate software. Any file you want to transfer must first be imported to this virtual "music drive" which is purely a playlist, then, they must be converted to MD format, then they must be saved What's worse is that it's getting worse. In addition, while the conversion is taking place, the software constantly refreshes the menu screen, so you cannot really add any more files to the conversion. Taking all of this into account makes the process very time consuming. This software annoys me, so I'm seriously considering to ditch it and just buy a CD/MP3 player that is more user-friendly, though more unstable.
It's been a real pleasure to use this little Sony MD device. The sound is fantastic in such a small package. It is my first minidisc player, so I do not have a reference to compare it with. I have not yet tried to download or record music. have read in some of the other reviews that the software is difficult to use, but I understand that as long as I stay within the capabilities/limitations of this MD Net unit, I should be able to get it to work. For me to get up to speed, I'll have to commit a great deal of time and energy Progress will be slow, but eventually I will make it.

Consider the Sony MZ-R1 if you're looking for a MD recorder that can record analog and can incorporate stereo mics or line inputs If N10 is not available, use something comparable. The following information provides a comprehensive comparison of all MD recorders from the seemingly mundane "Which jacks does this box have?" to the all-important "What's its resolution?" see also.
I find it perfect for my listening enjoyment.
A lot of the required components were missing when the product arrived. Included is the plug for the power supply. It is therefore unusable because of this.
