An advertisement that is false. The device is not capable of setting the date and time. A new version of this product is not available. In the Updated Version I bought from eBay, I was able to manually set the time and date. Like pirated software, this upgrade isn't authentic. It was a total disappointment. My father bought around six units, and only three of them work ( without the time and date settings). The other three continue to show the white It is possible for Amazon to allow sellers to sell items that are not what they say they are.

You need to stay away! In the unit, recording does not occur on the fly, but rather after it records, the DVD is ejected and it is considered completed. While the disc is discogs, it does not finalize the DVD, which means that it cannot be played by other DVD players. There may be a scenario where I can use it to copy some DVDs to other media, but I needed it to function as advertised, which it does not. It's just recently that I purchased the Protis Media Recorder and now I'm ready to return it. For my first VHS tape, I chose a 90 minute As soon as all the requisite keystrokes had been entered, I inserted the DVD and watched it for 120 minutes The recording process began as soon as I started the VHS player. I thought the recording had gone well when I reached the 60 minute mark and heard the following When the VHS tape ended, I waited for the CD to pop up before starting the burning process. On the DVD, only a portion of the VHS data is present. The recording of a 120 minute tape was attempted multiple times. Unfortunately, there was no Technical support leaves a lot to be desired. This review won't go into great detail about all of the problems with this product, just the highlights I agree with one other reviewer, the idea behind it is excellent. AV media converter with the ability to convert between 5 different media/interface types and easy to use. This is brilliant. In addition, poor video quality, record time limitations, and unpredictable burning are also complaints I have experienced. It is the delay between the audio and the video that I did not see in the reviews that I experienced. It seems like people are talking two at the same time A period of 4 seconds precedes the first movement of their lips. It would be appropriate if I was converting old Godzilla movies to DVD, but that would turn my precious camcorder video of my kids growing up into a very disappointing digital video. I also experienced the same delay recording video from Audio to a USB thumb drive. This was a gift from my wife who likes to buy Christmas presents in August.
