You can absolutely do that! To play or pause the video, simply push the play or pause
If at first it doesn't work, it's probably because the screen has timed out (the light is turned off), and therefore the screen does not work. By pressing any button, you can turn on the screen. You can then play or pause. The recording will continue if you push it a second time.
Macs use QuickTime only, so to convert the WMA files you need an application that will read QuickTime.
Transcribing the recordings should be easy since you can take them off with usb and then use a different program, such as Express Scribe, to do so. An ideal solution for a doctor who would like to dictate, then send the files to an intern to be typed.
