The system has been used by me. I got to a field in which I was able to get. There are four miles in it. It's been a while since I've been in the woods.
Using radio communication, it is impossible to determine an exact range. CB's can only transmit with a maximum power of 4 watts, as required by FCC. In the process of speaking with him, I encountered someone in New Zealand who was based in Ventura, California and also from there in Sometimes, listening to the same radio is inconvenient when you are across town. If your rooms have windows that face each other, you could probably talk with two of these radios and no external antenna if, as you mention, you are both in rooms with windows. The solution is to mount a small magnet outside your window, on a pizza pan (steel), and run wire from the pizza pan to the antenna connection outside the antenna enclosure, and you will have a good base station antenna, and you will be able to talk much farther.
When I was loading a wide load in my Ford 450 hot shot, I used this unit to transmit to the escort car. 200 feet away, I could hear the sounds of truckers. Having escorted me over 95 feet, I could perfectly hear my escort car behind me. If you're stuck in traffic, you will hear several trucks passing close by. Please accept my sincere thanks for your help.
There is only one power adapter included in this unit. Alternatively, you may be able to use your device at home after purchasing a DC to AC adapter.

When it comes to off-road use, this works great Road club events are held each month. The Winter 4x4 Jamboree in southern Utah just wrapped up and this setup worked great. The speakers were clear and loud, and easy to operate. It was in our minds to get a model with more features, but we decided not to. It is true that we did use a magnetic antenna external to the helicopter, but we did not need it in a 20-mile flight We are a Jeep crew of 30 people. Despite being without the magnetic antenna all weekend, the trail leader and the tail gunner were still able to hear each other.
It is difficult for me to understand why people are so quick to It is not a good idea to get into CB hobby if you have no experience. Make sure you do your homework first. CB radio is limited to 4 Watts by law, while SSB is limited to 12 Watts by law. Understanding the difference is important. If you just use the antenna alone you won't get the range that you need. You can also buy other antennas online that will allow you to get a long range. While it is turned off, the unit can only be recharged. You should assume there are no people online if you do not hear people talking. You might have a problem if there is no one using CB in your area. It's too far for people to see each other. Even when you turn down the squelch, there is a lot of interference on your CB. It's important that you learn how to use the unit and about the hobby before you go on a rant! Feel free to complain.
A magnetic mount antenna mounted to the roof of the vehicle works as well as an adapter to allow use of this hand-held camera.
The program I am trying not to work, it has a lot of static, but I could not communicate with anyone seated next to me.
I added an external antenna and was able to receive some truckers during my indoor testing. I was also able to hear truckers on the highway with the stock antenna and plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car. As I have not yet made a contact with the company, I have no way to get an opinion about the range of the transmitter. However, using this unit as a hobbyist, rather than as a travel tool, I enjoy it a lot. Years ago, I had a CB in the car, so it's fun to get back in touch with that.
A rechargeable battery pack is worth the extra money, which makes this unit the best one to buy. Batteries that are rechargeable cost more than the actual unit. As a matter of fact, I think I wasted my money, (I know) live Additionally, the lighter plug has a broken connection so I'm unable to use it. Further, I do not want to spend sixteen dollars. When it takes nine minutes to recharge 4 batteries, it costs $900 for 4 batteries. It's a waste of money to spend money on something that won't actually work.
The push-to-talk button of this unit failed after two days while I was on a jeep trail ride. It is not a product I would purchase I was stuck with it even though it was after the return window date. Buying this product is not a wise decision.
On channel 19, I could not find any truck traffic.
