As a result of the reviews provided by Amazon users, I purchased four of these radios. There are four members of the family within one mile of one another who use the handheld. At a distance of one mile, there is no reception. Tests were conducted as a result of this. As soon as the line of sight exceeds 40 yards, the quality of reception begins to decline. When viewed from 100 yards, the signal is audible as static, but the speech is not audible. Having purchased handhelds in the $100 range as a HAM operator, I can tell you they are reliable devices. I have found some in the 00 range that work exceptionally well considering who It would be much appreciated if you would grant me a full refund for these radios. Although I am open-minded and am willing to make them work, there are some limitations to what they can do as they are.

With the good and bad, I took both with a grain of salt. I didn't expect it to be the BEST CB RADIO EVER, but I wasn't looking for anything garbage. This is a very nice little CB and I am extremely satisfied. A good day can allow me to reach a range of a mile or two with the rubber ducky antenna and rechargeable battery pack. In my truck, I use the magnetic antenna I mounted and a power adapter for my cigarette lighter, so I can get 4 or 5 miles of range. It did make sense to me that trucks came in clearly, and they said I was also transmitting clearly. In town, I have to turn the squelch knob up quite a bit, but when I am traveling on the interstate, I can adjust it quite a bit further down. Contrary to some reviews, it has never failed to stay plugged in, and I haven't noticed any issues during the installation of the power adapter. I am impressed with the quality of this purchase.
