Questions & Answers

What is the compatibility of this with APX 8000 radios?

A Motorola APX 8000 radio can be used with this earpiece.

Is this device only suitable for use as a microphone? When the acoustic tube isn't connected, can I still hear sound from the radio?

If this ear piece is connected to your radio, the circuit for the radio speaker will be caused to be broken, and even if the acoustic tube is disconnected, you will not be able to hear the

In my research, I found the commountain model ca01s to be a good choice Item number PT02S An issue with the M4 was that its microphone would normally key up by itself. What is the issue with this one? Does it take a long time to start ?

That has never been an issue for me. Since I clip the mic to top of my vest, sometimes when I'm in the middle of something I get a buzz, but that's because of me and the location of the mic. As far as I'm concerned, nothing has gone wrong

am wondering if this microphone and earpiece will work with the Motorola XPR 7550e and will it fit?

As far as I'm concerned, this particular earpiece has been flawless for the past six months. When I transmit, the sound quality is excellent for me, and others say I sound clear. If you can have the sound from the radio go directly into your ear, it offers so many advantages. It is possible to be more stealthy if you are a law enforcement officer. If you wear a shoulder mic, or if you are holding a naked handheld radio, the assumption will be you are conveying information you don't want someone to know. Additionally, you will no longer hear the feedback that everyone else hears when an officer sets up his radio next to yours during stressful situations because people tend to forget to silence their radios. This means incoming officers will have a hard time understanding what you are saying. In the case of sharing a car with other radio users (like FTOs), no feedback will be given. The radio changes on a regular basis and it makes it easier to keep track of everything that happens. Certainly one of my only complaints about this particular earpiece is the cable, which I wish was I think taller guys will have to be a bit more creative with the placement of the mic, but it's not a deal breaker. My height makes it a little difficult for me, but I can manage it. Let me offer you some advice. If you get this, I suggest you wear it for at least two weeks to decide whether Most people give up on these things after trying them once. A lot of people don't like these things at first. As far as earpieces go, this is not my first. It takes some time for your brain to adjust to the difference in ambient sounds because you may not be used to having something partially block the sounds coming into one ear. I have used them for many years and found it odd and uncomfortable at first. Although the brain adjusts eventually, it is astonishing how it does so. As soon as the acclimation period passed, I didn't have any problem with it. Having it now has become an important part of my work. I like wearing headphones over the alternatives because I find them that much more comfortable. It's all about getting it, and don't be afraid to do so. It will be worth it if you stay with it.

I really like this tool
5/5

The first earpiece I have ever used, I am never going back. I have been using it for five months and it has become a part of my life. Despite the short time frame, the sound is of high quality. The yelling gets loud enough that I can hear over one hundred people. As for the ear mold, I'm also a huge fan. It was a bit nerve-racking for me to buy an earpiece because I didn't want to give up hearing in that ear, but this is awesome. Hearing the radio through the ear mold feels like it is simply played into my head, and it feels like the radio is playing in both ears. The time has passed since I worked 16 hour shifts and I forgot it was time. It's probably upside down in the ear mold, but it fits so much better the other way around than it did when I placed it on the right side. Whenever it would push my ear in strange positions after a couple of hours, I would have to pull it out. It fits like a glove this way. The only problem is that the tube is too long for my neck and makes the coil protrude. We simply trimmed the long side of the ear piece to fix the issue.

If this is your first ear piece, you will have to get accustomed to it. Fidgeting is still the way I do it, but now it is just to check that It is important that you don't give up. In addition to its many advantages, an earpiece has many more. We need to buy these for all of our employees, so I'm trying to convince the department to do so.

The thing is just perfect
5/5

I am completely in love with it. Whenever I am on an ambulance, the noise level is always very high. There is crystal clear sound quality and I appreciate knowing that I can hear what is going on around me while still hearing I have used it in all kinds of weather, and it has served me well. Microphones are so small, virtually weightless, and discreet that they are almost invisible. I am constantly asked where they can buy one by my coworkers. My only wish is for the cord from the microphone to the radio to be stretchy so that I can move around a little more freely. In all other respects, I love it and recommend it to my colleagues.

I'm using it with my It's a headset that I bought for my Inrico T522A, which I use for Zello
3/5

In it, it works and the sound is fine, but most of the time I don't hear the "Zello" sound that's supposed to play when pressing the PTT button, which means that the radio has established a connection and that the mic is in focus. I have even created my own sounds that are 3 seconds long to try and figure it out, but none of them will The sound is sometimes audible to me, but it's very rare and sometimes only the very last part of it is audible to me. This is most likely going to be returned unless I can find out what is going on. I can hear everything normally even when I am not wearing the headset, since the radio works as it should. I would recommend this headset if this isn't a problem, otherwise, it's great.

Patrols on duty are made much easier with the On Duty Patroller
4/5

Using this headset is the first time I have used one Since it was so cheap, I figured I would give it a shot. Since I started wearing the headset about two months ago, I've accumulated about 15 hours of wear time. Occasionally I have encountered a problem, but nothing that has made me stop using the app. As a patroller I wear an outer carer vest, so it gave me a little trouble to run the headset through the vest. Eventually, I would have liked a little more wire from the microphone to the earpiece, it keeps getting snug, although that may just be how I have it hooked up. Additionally, I have had issues with the sound cutting out in the earpiece and the microphone not picking up, but that is due to the faulty radio connection. As a result of getting the headset tight the next day after I disconnect it from the radio at the end of every shift, I had an issue getting the headset connected to the radio. There is a high level of sound clarity, I can understand dispatch without hearing it blare my eardrums. Unlike a regular radio mic it does not make any noise, so it's ideal for clearing a house late at night.

This is a great sound
5/5

Honestly, I like this mic. It sounds great and is very well made. The antenna cable of my Tac Vest is a bit short, so it is a challenge to connect my radio through it.

In a factory, this is not a good idea
3/5

I didn't expect it to be like that. It was extremely difficult to work on equipment with the mic when it kept bumping, and the sound quality was awful. So I had to return to using the factory microphone as I was unable to understand anyone. Neither time nor money are worth it. A quiet environment may be best, but a factory would not be.

This is a bad choice
3/5

I do not recommend it. It is an earpiece I bought when I first began my FTO journey. The program doesn't seem to work. It was the fault of my FTO who took my radio to the technical support. The technician said it is a common problem with bad connection between the radio and When looking for an earpiece, it is a good idea to include the serial number of your microphone. Rather than providing me with a good evaluation, I got a bunch of bad feedback regarding my DOR's on radio transmissions.
