I'd like to let you know that this rubber ear bud can be removed. The soft rubber has a hole at the bottom, so that the earbud can be easily connected to the air tube.
There are 5 inches between the ear piece and the first coil and another 5 inches between the second coil and the coil section. The diameter of its own is 5 inches.
Both ears can be used. When switching sides, you might need to turn the earpiece to make it comfortable to wear.

I have been using the tube regularly for a couple of months, and now, randomly, it will not play any sound. I still hear sound at the connector, so it seems to be the tube. The sound sometimes comes back after I scrunch or stretch the tube and, if it does, it may last only a couple of minutes or a few hours. As something intended to be used with public safety radios, these radios pose a definite safety risk to officers if they can't hear their radio calls. They couldn't Two of the four were ordered I have encountered the same problem with both packs, so I have thrown them both away. If you need radio parts, find a local public safety supplier instead of wasting your money here. Here's what I did wrong, and I won't repeat it.
I was connected for one day before the connection broke. As for the sound quality, it was okay, pretty clear, and it worked anyway. This model was not adjustable like some others I have owned in the past. I mentioned above that there was a plastic piece inside the tube that connects to your earpiece, which prevents you from cutting it to size. I couldn't cut it to fit well behind my ear due to this.
Maybe I received a bad one, but I believe that it was a waste of money for me. The second one lasted two days. UPSTATE**************
Updating yesterday, there were two more. As you can see, it is twice as long as the first.
Moving it around a lot will cause it to fall off. A little tape is all I used to wrap mine. There is no problem with the device, although the connector should fit a little better.
I have a new product that is made from a softer plastic than I had on my old one. The product stays in my ear well, but it takes a little bit of effort to get it to form around my ear when I get ready for work each morning. It remains in place throughout the day once it is put there.
If you are looking to replace an acoustic tube, I would be extremely cautious. One of the locking anchors for the tube is only molded halfway and lacks the plastic side bits that hold it in place. This is brand new out of the bag. If you can spend a little more on an OEM product, I would recommend it.
This product came in handy for swapping the cords from my old head set, so far without a hitch!.
In the week following its installation, the clear base attachment crumbled like sugar rock candy. As I walked around inside, I wondered why I hadn't heard any radio traffic for a period of time before I realized it had been turned off. Assurance of safety and security is a major concern Spending money on this was a complete waste. There is a scam going on. I cannot say enough about how cheaply these are made!.
I would recommend to anyone looking for a high quality product with super fast delivery. Good value for the money.
