It will play them, but the sound quality will be poor. This is a basic cassette player that can play any tape. If you're looking for a high-end portable cassette player, look elsewhere. It will play any cassette tape you insert into it. br>br> However, it will never compare to a genuine Sony Walkman cassette player.
It's fantastic! My Sony Walkman needs to be repaired, and I haven't been able to locate anyone who I can trust to do so. I saw this on Prime Day for a ridiculously low price and decided to buy it because I had nothing to lose. All of my cassettes are regular tapes with no metal or other unusual content; the majority are Sunday church services, with the remainder being mixed tapes made by others and store-bought tapes of favorite bands and other artists. They all play and sound great. The volume is a little lower than I expected, but it's great with the earbuds. I gave it four stars because all of the adapters I own are 5 volts, despite the fact that it specifies that a 4 volt adapter is required. So now I have to go out and find a 5v adapter. I would have given it five stars if it had included the adapter. It works well in battery mode, and it picked up all of my local AM stations with ease. I double-checked FM for this review, and it's also good. Nothing has been attempted to be recorded. When I listen to my tapes, I don't hear any hum. On the same day, I ordered a new recorder player, but when I played the same tape, I heard a loud hum, so that one will be returned. If you want to listen to your old mix tapes and sermons again, this is the one to go with. I have an old fm transmitter for my car, and I was able to plug the earphone port into it and play it through my car speakers using the fm transmitter, which is nice because now I can listen to my father's old sermons while commuting to work and other things. I'm overjoyed to be able to hear his voice in decent quality once more. I still want my Sony Walkman fixed, but I'll have to wait until I find someone qualified to do it right. Semier, thank you so much! If it had come with a power adapter, I would have paid a little bit more.
Unlike Lyss, Bryon, and Jensen's portable audio cassette players, this Semier has survived two audio books. As a result, I'm going to buy a second one as a backup. The audio quality is nearly identical to that of a Sony Walkman. The previous three were completely worthless (especially Bryon) and a waste of money, and I bought two of each in case one turned out to be a lemon - There were six lemons in total. I'd like to see the Sony Walkman return.
I bought this so that I could record my own cassettes from Spotify for my old car, with the exception of recording music straight from another device. While it's excellent in almost every other way - how simple it is to use, how well it plays cassettes and the radio, and the sound quality of tapes recorded from the radio - It failed miserably when it came to recording directly from another device; it did it, but it sounded like demons were erupting from it and pursuing my soul. I'm a ginger, so that helps. It was quite amusing, which is why I gave it four instead of three stars. br>br>As a result, it's pretty good for any other application. Even though it didn't meet my needs, it was still enjoyable to use. This isn't it, though, if you're looking for a way to record digital music to cassettes (preferably directly from the device to reduce background noise). If you're after it for the same reasons I am - personal mixtapes to listen to in a car equipped with a cassette player - Simply purchase an aux converter for cassette tapes. The one I recently purchased was around $7 (on sale, usually $10), and it has served me well thus far.
THE BEST. Anyone can benefit from it. I bought it for an elderly gentleman who is 80 years old and cannot read or write, and he is able to use it without difficulty. The ear buds are also a hit with him. He is free to listen to music without bothering others. This senior citizen enjoys dancing and listening to music. This is ideal for him to play all of his old but good cassetts on. Anyone would appreciate this gift.
This is a high-quality product. quality. It's simple to use, lightweight, and runs smoothly and quietly. The sound quality is excellent. The customer service is outstanding.
I snatched it up as soon as I saw it. I only had to listen to the storybook tape twice. The title, author, and illustrator were all correct on the third run. then- My tape had been devoured by it! This player was purchased specifically to allow me to listen to my read-aloud books. for my young grandchildren, as well as storybooks and cassettes I'm unable to do so at the moment. We're all disappointed to the point of indifference. During my 15 years as a preschool teacher, that tape was a fan favorite. incomparable I've notified the Warranty company, and if necessary, I'll file a claim with Asurian's $4 three-year Accident Protection Plan. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this outcome. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. After contacting Semier and informing them of my problem, I was promptly sent a replacement unit, as the warranty was still valid. The replacement unit was delivered in less than a week. The replacement unit has performed admirably thus far. I was able to successfully play a tape on the cassette player. I rewound, fast forwarded, and replayed it several times. Because I don't have any blank tapes, the only feature I can't test is the Record feature. If I ever decide to record, I hope it works; the sound quality and volume are both fine for listening to the radio. So, "Jess" at Semier, thank you for looking after me.
Record new music from my computer in the 1990s, as well as sermons. I wasn't sure how well this product would perform after trying other cassette players/recorders. I was pleasantly surprised by this product, as it has excellent reception and easily picks up FM stations. (I didn't try the AM band. ) I made a recording of a song I had downloaded to my computer. Although the sound was not perfect, the performance was satisfactory and, given the technology, better than I had anticipated. It's also very simple to use this device. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys listening to cassette tapes or recording lectures or sermons; I am very pleased with it. I am confident that you will be as well.
