Questions & Answers
Because it is battery-operated, the answer is yes.
The year of our camper is 2010. There is a panel with a fuse down where the storage tank pulls out. Make sure the fuse is in good working order and then follow the wires to the circuit's power supply.
It was a C2 part number 33368 that I had.
not sure. It wasn't the same for me.

The impeller shaft corroded and seized after about 6 years with the original. After a few more years of freeing it up with a toothpick at the beginning of each camping trip, Which isn't bad considering the pulp is essentially submerged 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So, what's the deal with the two stars? br>br> The wiring on the original Thetford pump is protected by a thick pvc sheath that runs from the pump housing to the seal and plugs into the control module. Everything is hermetically sealed beneath the waterline. br>br>However, you'll need a 6" pigtail, heat shrink tubing, and crimp connectors to splice in the new pump for this replacement. My Therford cassette toilet has a water tank that is approximately one foot deep. What could possibly go wrong with an electrical connection beneath the water line? There's no way this will last--those connections will corrode over time. br>br>Come on, Thetford--I paid $50 for a $5 pump. Spend a little more money. 20 and a pigtail that's long enough to splice above the waterline?!.
Because of other reviewers' concerns about using heat shrink below the waterline, I was skeptical at first, but when you heat this heat shrink tubing, it releases some sort of RTV, glue, or other sealant that bonds with the wire sheeting. I believe this will work fine in the infrequently used casette potty if done correctly. I believe the pump will fail first, followed by the wiring connection. br>br>I'd like to point out that the part number on my C402C potty was 21944, the part number on Thetford's site for the replacement part is 33368 (which I ordered here), the part number on the package received is 29027, and the part number on the instructions within that package is 16374. Thetford appears to have a lot of similar parts with different part numbers, but it installs and functions fine. I'll say that the new pump is louder than the old one, but it's still quiet enough that I don't think it'll wake anyone up in the middle of the night.
Using a dab of silicone, apply it to each. This is a perfect match. To keep the wires dry, dab a dab of silicone on each side of the crimp on connectors. You won't have to replace it for years. Simply put, don't do what I did and put the blue holding tank additive on top; it should go in the holding tank because it will eat up your pump.
It came quickly and was simple to set up. Replaced the pump and fuse (sold separately) after watching UK YouTube videos for detailed troubleshooting on my Thedford cassette toilet. Mine was difficult to locate; it was a small black screwin plastic knob behind the freshwater fill port, and the pump instructions were excellent.
This is a direct replacement for our trailer's cassette toilet pump. It's a genuine Thetford product that includes everything you'll need to replace the old pump, which was damaged during the winter when we forgot to winterize the trailer.
It's time to go to the bathroom once more. Many older reviews claim that the connectors are not shrink wrapped, but mine were. It was relatively simple to replace (and I'm not the most handy person on the planet). Make sure to grab both the wires and the hose when removing the old pump. I couldn't get it out until I realized I needed to pull up both at the same time, and it is also a replacement for part 16374 as stated in other reviews. My camper is a 2010 model with a Thetford:Cassette C- type of cassette player. 402C LH.
This pump is in excellent condition. We'd never replaced a pump before, but following the instructions and watching a few videos made it a breeze. We have four children and a pop-up camper with a toilet that won't flush or work. This was the solution, and it worked perfectly!.
In my 2007 Fleetwood Westlake, I had to replace a wheel. The wire is a little short; it should be 12 inches long, but I extended it using the old wire that was still attached to the plug-in. I used marine-grade JB Weld to seal both ends of the shrink wrap. Allow 5 hours for the mixture to set. It's like new!.
