Questions & Answers

Is it possible to record directly from a computer without having to hold a microphone up to a speaker? Is there a direct line between mp3 and cassette in recording?

By connecting the computer's headphone jack to the cassette recorder's input, I was able to record directly from my computer. On the cassette recorder, you'll find both line in and line out jacks.

Is it possible that it's a stereo re?

It doesn't work, so don't buy it; it's not a stereo recorder, and it can't make good recordings in the first place.

Is this capable of recording and storing a large amount of data? I usually use my phone to record my audio keyboard playing, but I'm out of space right now. It'd be nice, wouldn't it?

A cassette tape recorder is what this device is. It doesn't keep any data, but it does record audio on cassette tapes.

Is it possible to play a cassette tape on the television?

Yes, you can record from the television by inserting a cassette tape into the recorder.

It works! However, it is a player for cassettes
4/5

It hisses, as you might expect. Okay? Because I'm THAT old, this thing works just like the old shoebox tape recorder I used to tape things off the radio and TV before VCRs. I wanted to create an old school mix for my girlfriend. This was my Valentine's Day tape, and it worked perfectly. As far as I can tell, the USB input does nothing, but a standard male-to-male cable works fine. I was able to create the mix using only my phone and a male audio line-in. Is the audio quality good? No. Not by a long shot. However, if you're going analog, you're probably not overly concerned with sound clarity. So, hey, it's a success, and Valentine's Day has been saved! Hissing is a lot of fun!.

Tapes to be mixed
5/5

This was purchased for my sister's X-Mas mix tapes. Mas. Mix tapes have a special quality to them, and cassette tapes are the only medium on which they work properly. CDs should be mixed together, but they should not be identical. It is necessary to listen to the songs in chronological order. br>br>First and foremost, keep in mind - Because this is a tape player, the sound quality is inferior to that of other media, with cassettes having the worst sound quality. This isn't the fault of the tape player, which is why I gave it an 8. It does what it's supposed to do, and for $30, I can't think of a better sound. br>br>The built-in microphone isn't very good. You should not buy this if you want to record voice memos. I'm not going to lower my grade because of this. The line in - br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br This is an effective method. When I recorded from my phone, the quality was good. There are numerous factors at play in this situation. When you're imputing, it's best to turn up the volume to the highest setting possible. Remember that your cable has a lot to do with it moving around and so on. br>br>Why I gave it five stars. The USB port is an important feature. Despite the lack of documentation, I decided not to give it a one-star rating and return it once I figured out how to make it work flawlessly. br>br>The USB works in a certain way. Put your music or whatever you want on the USB drive and connect it. Set the device to USB mode. The audio files on your USB will be played by it. Unfortunately, the meta data is not transferred; however, keep in mind that this is an analog cassette tape. br>br>If you keep your expectations in check, the product will meet your needs, particularly if you're making mix tapes. Finally, my wife's old mix tapes play beautifully on the device; line out is great for transferring mixtapes this way, but I believe there are better ways to export mixtapes.

What a Disgusting Piece of Garbage! I purchased this new recorder for my 86-year-old mother in order for her to record our family's history
3/5

She tried to rewind and listen to the recordings she had made for two days. It hadn't made any recordings. My brother double-checked it and found that she had followed all of the instructions to the letter! He claimed there was a problem with the internal microphone. What a knucklehead! My mothers, you've wasted your time! For nothing, thank you! It's a sham! All we wanted was a simple recording device with which to simply record! Don't go out and buy something you don't need!.

I was given a used and broken item
3/5

First and foremost, this product was given to me in a used condition. I know this because there was a note in the box that stated, "Buttons are difficult to press. " Please return the item and issue a credit to my credit card. " That's fine, but I just purchased a new one. So, when I open the box and try to do a line-in recording from my iphone to a blank tape, it becomes completely static and won't play or record via line-in, USB, or the original tape. I purchased this to replace a broken TASCAM studio recorder, but I plan to return it:.

It takes a certain amount of skill to make it
3/5

When you do get it working, it's a fantastic device. It's a handy cassette player with good, better-than-expected sound once you get it to work. It's just a matter of making it work. There are two issues that must be addressed before the device can function properly. br>br>(1) Battery compartment: It's nearly impossible to fit four batteries inside. And even if you do manage to get them in, the cover will not fit over the batteries. Spend a lot of time jiggling them around and pressing them in different places until they stay in place. The cover, on the other hand, should be discarded. It isn't going to fit. The bottom layer will be held in place by the top layers of batteries being taped in. br>br>(2) There was no sound. Solution is simple: On and off (in fancier language) is what the selector switch basically says. It's not going to work with either setting. However, there is a SWEET SPOT IN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN these two settings where the player performs flawlessly. br>br>It's a shame that such a nice tape player is so frustrating because of a poorly designed batter compartment and a poorly labeled on/off switch.

This product isn't deserving of a five-star rating! This item was given as a gift for Christmas
3/5

This gift was extremely unappreciated by the recipient. It refused to record and devoured the cassette tapes. There was no manual, and there was no way to find one on the internet.

It's a good start, but it's not quite there yet
3/5

The instruction manual that came with the device was a little hazy. Pay attention to the finer points. To learn how to use the recorder's features, such as USB, you'll have to experiment with it. The external mic jack has been unresponsive to inputs, but the built-in mic works fine, so I'd look at other options before committing to this one.
