The fact that returns are simple, even for those of us who are cell-phone users, is one of the main reasons I continue to buy from Amazon. Without a printer, I'm phone resistant and a little techno-challenged. However, if you need to drop something off, there is a UPS store nearby. OFFERINGS WITHOUT THE NEED TO PACKAGE They and a Kohl's are both within 7 miles of me, so returns are easy for me.

The audio quality is poor. Apart from the rewind button on my recorder, it works great when listening to old cassette tapes. If I keep pressing the button, it will not rewind tapes. However, following the recording. When played back, the sound quality is poor. Voices and recorded music are drowned out by the mechanical background noise.
This cassette recorder was ordered for my classroom listening center, but when it arrived, it was broken. Nothing happened when I opened the box and plugged it into the socket. There was no way to play, rewind, fast forward, or stop it. I will not purchase this item again.
Because they keep going bad, I've purchased three of these so far. Not over time, but I buy one every year or so and only use it once a week at most. I'm trying not to be upset about buying a fourth because the technology is so outdated at this point that I can't be picky, but it's so frustrating to have to keep buying them when all I want is one good working product that lasts. This isn't the place to look for it.
It's small and light, and it's simple to use. It runs on four C batteries or a power cord. We were especially grateful to find this on Amazon because our elderly mother needed to replace a broken old cassette player, but she is not skilled with electronics. This was the absolute ideal find for her! It has a fair sound quality and is easy to use, with standard buttons such as PLAY, STOP, FF, REWIND, and RECORD. The volume can be easily adjusted by sliding on the unit's side.
So there's no simple way to insert or remove a cassette tape from the recorder. I exchanged it for a new one. When the exchange arrived, I inserted a tape and pressed play; however, the sound was distorted. The play spool was too weak to turn the tape at normal speed after trying several different tapes. I got a complete refund on that one. This cassette player should be avoided at all costs.
I tried twice to use this to record a class I was giving, both times standing right next to the recorder (which was on a table about waist high) and speaking at a higher volume than usual. During the recording, I was joined by six other people in a relatively small room. Over the loud noise of the tape turning in the recorder, you can barely hear my voice during playback, and you can't hear the students' voices at all. This is most likely due to the microphone's proximity to the tape. It was a complete waste of money for me because the only reason I bought it was to record the classes.
The sound quality is excellent, and the music fills the room well. It's highly suggested! br>br>Here's something to think about: You'll need a mono-to-stereo converter if you want to listen to this with stereo headphones. adapter for stereo. If you don't, you'll only have one channel of sound. This is true of nearly every "shoebox" cassette player I've encountered, so it shouldn't be a deal breaker when considering this recorder.
Getting ready for a phone interview for a work from home job. This is where an old tape recorder comes in handy. Thank you, Amazon, for providing me with some old school supplies.
